We have just come back from a week's self catering holiday in Samos. We self-catered our Cornflakes for breakfast and ate out for lunch and dinner - so, lots of meals and lots of different restaurants. All were good but the best of these by far was FAROS in Pythagorion. The owner, Stella (not her proper Greek name) was a joy to be with; the waiters were friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and so friendly; the food was as good as we have had anywhere in the world and, to cap it all, we were able to get a table on the beach in front of the restaurant.
