We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff was very helpful, the food served was good. The room we stayed in seemed a bit old, but the hotel makes up for this by ensuring hygiene and a comfortable stay. The view from the rooms are great. We could see snow capped mountains on one side and the Paro airport on the other.

Boutique property

Rooms were adequate although we had trouble using the key to room 302 EVERY FRICKIN’ DAY. Sometimes it wouldn't lock, sometimes it wouldn’t unlock, and sometimes we couldn’t extract our key. Food was mediocre at best and usually was not ready when the restaurant started serving, even if we informed the staff in advance of our expected gustatory arrival. No menu choices. Every meal focused on Indian food, which is fine unless you’ve spent a month in India (as we did) and you’re absolutely sick of Indian cuisine. Traditional foods of Bhutan are the best! Restaurant service here was chaotic.; e.g., was offered dessert while still eating salad. BTY, turn down the desserts…

On date 30th November 2020 .I reach Bhutan from Mauritius 🇲🇺 Country. I got my quarantine hotel at HOTEL DRUKEN at PaRO .
I was really surprised to see hotel room and hotel itself is so beautiful. Food is very delicious and two dessup girl and one police man  kind and nice .I really thanks for Bhutan of government and hotel .I am enjoying my stay here. I love this place .thanks you .

My stay...

Recently we have visited Bhutan and in Paro, and we stayed in Drukchen Resort in Paro.We were happy with the overall arrangements. The rooms are big with all the modern amenities with bathtub also in the washroom. The view from the rooms are also overlooking the Paro Valley, Airport and Paro Dzong. We enjoyed the food here in breakfast and dinner. The breakfast menu was comprised of Indian and continental, while in Dinner they served mainly Indian along with 2 Bhutanese dishes. The dinner we really enjoyed. The owner Karfen madam really very helpful and looked after us very well. Overall a very much satisfied experience and recommend others to stay here.

Comfortable hotel and nice service

We travelled to Bhutan last Oct 2019 and stayed in this beautiful Paro Resort, Drukchen Resort .. From the check-in process to Checkout Process, everything was very well managed. The reception area was very big with elegant sofas which gives you the feeling of a true 4-star hotel , though it is 3-star Hotel . 
The rooms were very big with good views of Paro river, Airport and Paro Dzong.
We are a team of vegetarian and we enjoyed the food served there. All are Indian food with good Indian taste . The menus also quite elaborate. The service is always with a typical Bhutanese smile. Overall our stay was very much enjoyable with Drukchen , surely I will recommend other tourists to stay here in Paro

Comfortable stay

We spend 2 nights at Paro at Hotel Drukchen, It was a wonderful hotel which was not only located on a small hillock but also displayed beautiful architecture in the entire hotel. A really lovely place to stay and spend your nights at Paro. The food was also great and hygienic, and the staffs were very friendly and supportive. The bathroom is clean and good enough, Room Size is also sufficient.  Coffee/Tea makers, free newspapers and free bottled water were also provided in room.

Good Service

Freezing basic room. Stayed un early December. The room was extremely cold with just the basics. Little couch was dirty. The little electric heater didn't help warming up the room. Heater in the bathroom wasn't working Not enough outlets for charging or computer. Dinner was OK and personnel courteous.

My self Manish ShahThis is regarding the Hotel Drukchem, Paro Bhutan. Our hotel room no were 111 & 112.
The the food was not up to the standards. Actually this is not called a Indian food. Also they don’t serve any roti in the food. Also they ask for extra charge. When we asked for roti and ther guest in the restaurant they served roti and removed sapegatti. The Sabji was so poor in quality that we cannot eat it. The pic of same we will send to you on whatapp. We have not taken food on this day.

Secondly the behaviour of the restaurant staff was so rude that they were not listening the thing on the contrary they are saying that if you want to complain you can do anyone.

When we complained to our local guide regarding same, she talked with the reception guy regarding the food he said that we serve this only if you want to eat you have other it’s your wish. And was using the word like shut up and bad word in his language. When we said to give him in writing he said to check out from the hotel immediately by 9:00 o clock in the night and to call the police if we stayed in hotel.

After talking there senior authorities they stopped the thing but the behaviour of the staff was same.

The hotel staff behaviour was scary and abusing.

Horrible Service

I stay here twice on Nov 2016 and Dec 2018. I like this hotel more than another hotel I stay in 2017 . Room is comfortable. Hotel is clean. BF is OK. WIFI signel not good in the room but at lobby WIFI signal is strong. Staff is nice and helpful. Will request this hotel if I go to Paro again. 

Comfortable hotel and nice service 

I have given this hotel 2 stars as they made a big effort to provide excellent meals for me even though I was at times the only person dining. However the rest of the service left a lot to be desired. 

When I arrived there were no towels in the room and they had forgotten to turn the hot water on. Luckily I noticed a switch high on the bathroom wall and asked if it should be on. They turned it on and said it would take a while to heat up. Lucky I didn’t wait until I needed a shower!

The mixer tap at the bathroom basin was also plumbed the wrong way so you needed to turn it to the right rather than the left to get hot water. 

I was there two nights and was surprised that the room wasn’t serviced at all while I was there. I don’t mind not having fresh towels on day 2 but it is unusual to have no attention to the room at all. Perhaps it is at the more budget end than I am used to - it was booked for me by the tour company. 

There was no bottled water provided - possibly a good thing in terms of minimising plastic- but there is a kettle to boil drinking water and make tea or coffee (sachets provided). 

On the plus side, the Bhutanese meals they cooked for me each night were excellent. Very generous servings- much more than I could eat. Also they made excellent fresh omelettes each morning. A tick for the chefs.
