The hotel is being updated so it will be even better in the future, the restaurant and grounds are great!

Best property to be in the area!, the sound of the river passing through the property was really soothing! Good food to enjoy! Overall very good

Relaxing environment, luscious gardens,   beautiful landscape. The combination of water and gardens brings relaxation tk the soul and mind.Very nice fruit smothies. Very attentive staff.Cute restaurant desing.Parmesan beef is a favourite dish.

We spent 2 nights in this little gem with a river running thru, lovely gardens, basic but clean rooms, a breakfast included and a lovely dining room, to go to sleep and hear the birds and rushing river was a great end to the day!

The junior suite on 2nd floor has a great view. The garden is really neat and the location is perfect

We stayed 2 nights.  The staff were all very friendly, although very few of them spoke any English.The accommodations are rustic, with the basics but comfortable.The grounds were spectacular!  Plants, flowers, shrubs, trees, the whole place looked so nice, even when it rained!Overall, we were very happy and we would stay there again.

The room was very nice and spacious.  The gardens were incredible and the breakfast was very good.

The grounds are beautiful, the staff are pleasant, patient and helpful.  property is under renovation so there was an increase in dust.  The room environment would be of better quality if they had dehumidifiers to remove some of the damage causing moisture.  It affected my breathing; they immediately cleaned the room which improved the irritants in the air.  Onsite restaurant food was good.

Stay at Hotel Dos Rios in Volcan

Incredible grounds! Have to see to believe. Comfortable, recently updated, clean room and bath. Attractive common areas and restaurant. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was included but only a few items available. Restaurant had good, internationally-oriented food with good service. BUT I ate ALL my meals there during my 2.5 days in Volcan and had two bouts of serious intestinal distress--a problem I did not have during the rest of my Panamá trip

Great place but be careful with the restaurant

Hotel Dos Rios met our needs for our visit to Volcan. It is conveniently located off the main road and has the most spectacular outside setting with a natural river and beautiful plants with pathways and some seating to enjoy the outdoors. There is a restaurant open from 7am to 8 pm and they are known for their pizza which was very good. The rooms and bathrooms were adequate...a bit outdated....But there is cable TV and hot water. 

The only thing that kept me from giving Hotel Dos Rios five stars is that their included breakfast only includes one line item...which is two scrambled eggs and some white toast and coffee or tea. There is no other selection unless you want to pay the difference for it. I’ve never been to a hotel with an included breakfast that didn’t give you a variety of options such as cereal, fresh fruit, etc....so I found that annoying. The staff was generally nice, but their English was quite limited. Nevertheless all in all, it was a pleasant visit for a fair price.

Good but could be better

Has some of the most beautiful grounds of any boutique hotel I've ever stayed.  Staff were very friendly and accommodating.  Meals were delicious.  Had the lasagna and it was very, very good.  I also very much enjoyed the fruit plate with the breakfast.  I would definitely stay again if in the area.

Lovely hotel, has room overlooking river. There 2 nights… couldn’t sleep well very loud music coming from town until 2-3 am. Hotel is great so is the staff, probably would not return though

We arrived to reconstruction nextdoor. Grounds beautiful, food good. Pizza great, grilled cheese and ham sandwich not edible, chicken Parm good...

In August I had the opportunity to stay at the hotel with some friends and I can say that it was comfortable but a bit expensive since we were only staying for one night and it did not include breakfast. 
But it is a beautiful place with delicious food.
