Logis Hostellerie Bressane

A Logis that stands for quality and a gastronomic experience. The quality of the local wines were exceptional. Not only the above but the welcome one received on arrival was way above that normally found in hotels or hostelries in France. What a pleasant experience.
Not really difficult to find: Just follow the road east from Tournus over the river and you arrive at the door.

Lovely traditional farmhouse of the region. Large and pretty rooms with an air of luxury
which in our very stressed state we appreciated. Sat in front of the fire having a drink before going into the dinning room. Wonderful Amuse bouche brought with the drinks.
Very friendly owner and great service. All very enjoyable. Easy parking.
Only criticism could have doe with one more choice on the menue as not eating offal it was a little limited. But will go there again. Service was excellent. All three of us enjoyed our visit and my son used to a single room was delighted with what he was given

A bit basic but Good clean rooms, everything you need - we stay every year for a couple of nights in the same room. Spacious with a good big bathroom with bath.  Perfect overnight stop, with car outside the room.  Rooms are in the courtyard at the back. This is good cheaper option to the greedier hotels around Tournus. 
Traditional Burgundian restaurant with old fashioned local food, formally served by staff who have been there for years.  Breakfast in different room, everything you need and a cappuccino provided with a smile. Good local yoghurt.

You get increasingly tired when it comes to "modern" cooking and so it is very pleasant to sit down to a meal with good old traditional dishes. My colleague had oeufs en meurette and I had an excellent épaule de porc en persillé, both of course fait maison. Then we both had a quenelle de brochet with a bisque de langoustines. Light and fluffy pike dumplings. A kir to start with and some white Rully. A perfect lunch.

From the welcome to the au revoir this was a very good place to stay.  The greeting made us so welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff here.  The food was absolutely first class. The waiting staff were efficient and professional. Breakfast was a large and varied buffet and we were offered boiled eggs too. We will be back
