Hostel Valentin

If you visit Ohrid without staying in House Valentin you'll miss the coziest and frendliest place in Macedonia. Nikoleta was one of the best hosts I've ever met in my travelling adventures. She was enormously helpful and very, very kind. Informations she provided to us were just enough to make our stay in Ohrid a perfect one. Rooms are very clean, and the view from the Valentin House to the city is awesome. Having in mind that the House Valentin is one of the cheapest places in Ohrid, and that it is one of the coziest you'll find in this beautiful Macedonian city, you won't regret staying at Valentin's place. I liked this place so much that I'm planning to stay at House Valentin one more time in the nearer future.

I am female African traveler Hali Barry, hi,my plan was 2 nights. ended up to more nights. Simply said VALENTIN HOUSE is unique and the very best place to stay.  
I am traveling  14 countries in Europe. LOCATION  is excellent PRICE  is suitable ATMOSPHERE is welcoming  VALENTIN FAMILY is loving and takes great interest in their guest to ensure that their experience becomes a memorable one. They spend extra time making sure you get all the information needed to explore Ohrid and beyond.  The grandfather also was interested in the guests.  Their teen son Pillip is brilliant intelligent  open minded who enjoys interacting  with guests . if anything is needed as a guest all it takes is asking them.  All the places and things they suggested to do while in Ohrid I enjoyed them all.

We were to Valentin place 5 night and it wae awsome.Valentin and his wife Nikoleta are so kind and helpful. Valentin is always prepera for your question and he knows all answers.He will sugest you which place is must to see which restoran to go.Valentin apartmenet is very close to bus station,shoping center,and very good and cheap restorant..The place is 15 minutes walking to the centre of the town.This is the best place in Ohrid,also very cheap.Try and see.

Ohrid's best place!

Extraordinary exceptional awesome

Nikoleta and Valentin are fabolus

Very friendly hostel owner's wife, but when suddenly a new booking came in. She woke me up at 9:45 pm and threw me out of the room hysterically. Rooms to the main street are loud. The bathroom was only cleaned the second day (hairs on the toilet and washing basin). The kitchen has no cooking facilities. No lockers provided. Plus for being nearby the central bus station, and the information on sightseeing provided.

I want mainly to sleep for sightseeing during the day and not to risk to be thrown out of bed at night.

With a little improvement in management and provided facilities, it could be much better.

Cannot be recommened...

I didn't enjoy my stay at House Valentin. For one, I have to say that the location is actually quite poor. It was advertised as being very close to the city center, however it's actually around a 30 minute walk. The only positive is that the location is close to the bus station. 

Furthermore, the rooms were very small, poorly cleaned, and noisy. The beds are very flimsy and creak loudly whenever you move. This made it very hard to sleep. I consider myself a veteran traveler, but even so this hostel was not up to my expectations. I would strongly recommend against staying at Valentin. It's simply very different from the way it is advertised.
