The hostel is a cheap place to stay and offers a nice courtyard and very small roof terrace, however from arrival had a bad feeling, with some of the staff being completely unhelpful and unaware. There was no running water for an afternoon and evening of my stay, and the drinkable water (a facility that most decent hostels offer) was either empty or you had to pay a charge to fill up a water bottle. The whole place was run down or dirty (including gross bathrooms) and I didn’t feel comfortable as a female traveller. On the whole it’s a good hostel for a quick stay or those on a budget but otherwise I would not recommend.

the worst hostel i have ever been in my life.

We had after one night our whole body full of bed bugs bites. we wanted some help from the owner with the laundry. but he got completely aggressive, he was screaming to us. he didnt help us. in the end we had no refund on the night we stayed, the body full of bed bugs bites and no laundry assistant.

I paid for my reservation a week before and when I arrived they told me that I do not have their reservation available, I asked for my money back and they refused to give it to me, and they gave me no solution.  They even made fun of me saying I'll lend you the phone so you can complain hahaha. 
Avoid this place and they won't steal your money with fake reservations.

this is an amazing hostel. super cheap, great location, really clean, good facilities such as a pool table and roof top terrace. the staff are awesome, really friendly and helpful and some of them hang out with the guests, which gives the place a nice, homely atmosphere. the restaurant does really good food, playlist is great, there's two dogs there. i could go on and on!

Considering that you would pay the same for camping in some states, this is excellent value at 100$mxn for a dorm.
I don't know where the negative comments are from but I found the place to be very clean and comfortable. I only moved in order to stay with friends.
My only gripe is hot water is only available from 8am to 12pm however you can ask for it to be turned on at other times of the day.

**Seriously, DO NOT STAY HERE**

We booked this hostal online and had high hopes. We showed up early today as we took an overnight bus, payed outright for a week, and were shown into a dirty room to wait as our room wasn’t ready. While we were waiting, we discovered that the whole hostal is under construction and the room they planned on putting us in was literally right in the middle of it. Also, because of this construction there was absolutely no common area to hang out or meet other travelers in the hostal. As we would be staying here for NYE, meeting other people is very important to us.

As a result, we kindly asked for our money back as we were unaware of this, and we hadn’t even checked in yet. The “manager” then completely flipped out on us(yelling, shaking, the works) and made us wait an hour to talk to the owner. Getting our money back was way more of a process than it should have been and we were treated like absolute crap.

When we actually talked to the owner, he was actually the “manager” we talked to prior, surprise! Not only did he keep $1000 pesos of our money, but he then threatened us with physical violence simply because we wanted a refund/to leave. There is no excuse for this. We will be both filing a police report and reporting them to HostalWorld. No one deserves to be treated like that. My boyfriend and I have stayed at hostals all over the world and we have never been subjected to this kind of harassment let alone violence.

The hostel itself is OK, nothing special and not the friendliest of places which makes sense considering the owner is rude and not a nice man. I checked out before 9am to go on a tour and left backpack in storage, when returning almost 8 hours later the owner demanded 50 pesos. I can understand that their policy is to charge, however should have been notified of that when I checked out. The issue I had was not over 50 pesos, if I been informed in the morning I would have paid it, but how he handled the situation. Not enough allowing me time to go book bus ticket to figure out time frame. I preferred to pay another hostel double what he demanded to keep my backpack for a couple of hours than pay him after the way he spoke to me and told me get my bag and get out as i was questioning this charge. He took no responsibilty on belhalf of hostel and even if he had apoligised for the miscommunication and offered me half price at that point it would have been a compromise on both ends. Its a shame when leaving on bad terms as ruins your experience and this hostel doesn't care about giving you a good experience.  

Rude and Unfriendly Owner

I stayed in the dorm here for a few nights and it was very uncomfortable to have one of the workers try to come into my bed and rub my back. After explaining I wasn't interested at all he continued to try to touch me and question every move I made during my stay. I was also woken up at 5 in the morning by another single female traveler who was yelling at this creep to leave her alone. She was asleep in her top bunk and he climbed up and started to rub her legs. Very creepy. People like this shouldn't be working in a hostel. I had to leave sooner then I had planned because I was so uncomfortable and scared to sleep.

Anyway, the beds were comfortable. Might be an okay place to stay if your not a single female. The other travellers staying were all pretty sweet and had a good vibe. Good for socializing but quiet after 11 for those who want sleep (if you're not getting felt up by the creep.)
