The space is incredible. Close to the river, 2 blocks from town center, and with all necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. On top, the hostess does an excellent job, keeping services running, and giving proper local tips when needed. 
The yoga room turns out to be very handy for meditation, and even for practicing other arts.

Adriana created a welcoming atmosphere and was extremely helpful.  The bed was comfortable, Wi-Fi was decent, and the overall vibe was terrific :-)  Book early because there aren’t many rooms in town...and none like this!

We have slept in different places on our Patagonia adventure and Casa la Gringa was one of them.
Not a luxury, but cozy place with excellent service, friendly staff and home made meals. Just one night here, but my personal experience and impressions were very positive.

We stayed at La Gringa Carioca at the end of January 2018. Not only is it well-located - easy walk to town centre, but also views over the Futaleufú valley to the mountains beyond. Adriana made so welcome on arrival and made us tea (very British!) on arrival which we enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the warm afternoon sunshine gazing at her lovely garden and surrounding scenery. Adriana (and Ale) were so helpful and friendly and made us feel we were staying in their home rather than in a hotel. It was so relaxing. We would love to return.

Adriana does everything possible to make you feel at home.  She went out of her way to help us with any logistics and assisted in any way possible including helping me with some food allergies.  Wifi is great and the location is just a couple blocks from the center of town.

Great location, great view of the river. Nice premises, very warm and cosy house with a lot of charm and history. Very sympathetic, trustworthy and trusting host. Tiny bathroom with window that barely opens is my only major criticism.

The Hostal La Gringa Carioca is set in a quiet corner of the town and surrounded by a pretty garden. The owner was helpful and welcoming. The breakfast a little on the lean side but that's just me...The room was fine, comfortable - the bathroom ok so what was the problem I hear you say? The first night I hardly slept a wink because the owner's dogs were barking and carrying on right outside the window. When I mentioned it to her the next morning her answer was "Oh yes they bark when they hear people in the street...and I would have them in the house with me but then they'd keep ME awake!" The second night I mentioned that I'd slept much better, thinking that she had removed the dogs but the answer was "that's because they escaped - must have left the gate open"...Tourists pay to get a good night's sleep  - sabotaging your own business...not good.
