We have stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions over the past few years, whilst walking the camino. The most recent visit was in May this year. This is a basic hotel, and the prices reflect this. But being reasonably priced does not mean compromise. The hotel is very clean, and the rooms have everything one needs for a good rest after walking the long section before arriving in the town. Bathrooms are very clean, and the staff very friendly. The hotel is run by Esteban who is very helpful, and a great chef. The restaurant in his hotel is THE best place to eat in town, and the bar in the hotel is well stocked and a relaxing place to end the day.. Breakfast is a simple but adequate meal. This place is a very relaxing, friendly, homely and comfortable place to stay. Other reviews have mentioned that it is not ON the Camino, but it is literally only 5 minutes walk from the main square through which the Camino route passes, and so I think this is not an issue at all. When we next walk this part of the Camino, we will definitely stay in Hostal Ezequiel

Before going to bed, you can walk around the main landmarks of the city. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel — University of the Basque Country, Artium and Plaza de Espana.
