Holiday Inn Prague Congress Centre by IHG

Probably the best Holiday Inn we've ever stayed in. I have to say I think some of the negative or so-so reviews are for the hotel near the airport. This is not that hotel. This is near the Congress Center. It feels quite new and for a Holiday Inn we were very impressed with the design, decor, breakfast, service and over all experience. We were here for 4 nights. It is true, it is not near city center of the things most tourists want to see but we were very aware of that before arriving. A Bolt into the center was roughly $5-6 a ride but we did walk it twice. We never heard doors slamming, or street noise (we were on the 6th floor). I was especially impressed with the breakfast options (and I don't eat a ton) - from lactose free yogurt to gluten free options, lots of choices and an omelet and egg bar. Compared to most US Holiday Inn's this was far and above those. Things were readily replenished (my favorite being the watermelon), there was a fresh squeezed orange juice machine, 3 cappuccino/espresso machines, and a host of other options. All the staff were friendly and attentive - and they were numerous! We loved we could get large bottles of water for our rooms (even sparkling water if you preferred) at no cost. The dining area was charming, large, comfortable and if we had had really nice weather I could see sitting outside in the lovely garden area. If I have ONE critique it would be this; the woman managing and cooking at the egg station was wearing gloves BUT she was handling sausages, then eggs, then bread, then utensils...all with the same pair of gloves. For those of us who don't eat any meat, especially pork, it was very unappetizing to see her grabbing sausage with her gloved hands, and then pushing a fried egg onto her spatula with the same gloved hand. I imagine if people were severely sensitive to cross contamination it would happen here. But I would recommend this property without hesitation! So glad we wound up here.
