Friendly staff, great breakfast, easy to get too location, spacious room

The room was clean and very spacious and made for a comfortable stay. The pool was nice and clean . No complaints

Great breakfast and staff were super nice!

Clean, spacious and newer property. Comfortable beds and the staff is really friendly. I’m usually a Marriott traveler but I’m definitely adding Holiday Inn express for family travel needs.

Middle of no where but the stay was fine.

We arrived at 10 PM so we did not pay attention to the area. It does seem nice with a few places to eat.

The room was very nice. The bed was very comfortable and the shower also was very nice. Check-in was easy and the staff were nice. If there was anything of issue it be the location of the plates and utensils for the breakfast. They should have been at one side or the other instead of the very center of the food line.

We had great expectations for this hotel but unfortunately our visit wasn't very good.  The floors felt sticky  we traveled with kids and we used the extra linen and pillows from the closet and they all look uded, were dirty and had stains on them.  We let.the front desk know and they brought a clean one.The kids wanted to go swimming and the pool was so cloudy and looked dirty. They didn't stay that long. The only positive thing was the breakfast.  Lots of quick options,  clean and plenty of staff assisting around. I would recommend it but they just need to improve in some areas. Great location with walking distance to grocery shopping, food, movie theaters and other shopping stores.

Pros:- Huge plus is the TV is actually usable, meaning you don't have to pay extra for all channels.- Very clean. I specifically checked for bed bugs and found none.- Chips, drinks, ice cream, etc. are all reasonably priced. Still overpriced than buying it from the store, but that's expected.- Breakfast was more than just cereal! We had the fresh cinnamon rolls, but they had fresh pancakes, etc.- Very quiet. You are close enough to restaurants but not close enough to hear the traffic.Cons (minor and nit picking):- TV stand was pretty scuffed up cosmetically.- A bit of bubbling on the wall near the shower.. should probably be looked at. I doubt mold but should be fixed sooner rather than later.- Some vents looking a bit rusted.- Bathroom sink was partially clogged, meaning it would fill up with water eventually due to not draining fast enough.

When we arrived there was a sign on the counter announcing that the elevator was out of order. They had reserved us for the 4th floor. I knew my husband would not make it up four flights with luggage in tow. I asked if they could put us on the main floor which they did. So that was a plus. The rest of our overnight stay was fine although I did have some trouble with the shower being slippery—too soft of water I think. Breakfast had a bit more offerings than is usual at motels. So a bit above average stay.

The only thing I didn't like was I ask the gentleman behind the front desk for a copy of my receipt and he said that I would receive as a email. I told him I wanted to review it. He again said email! I just told him then to have nice day. In future all costumers should receive a hard copy of their stay. Thanks!

PROS:  Front desk employees very nice, check-in was a breeze, room was (sorta) clean, and big, nice bathroom, very good blackout curtains, breakfast was good(could have been hotter, hotel in a great and safe location. 

CONS:  My only cons are, the food could be a little hotter. We went to eat around 8:30, they were out of gravy, only two biscuits, two sausages and no utinsels.(there was plastic spoons).   When I asked the kitchen worker if they had some forks, (I would have used plastic), she was a little snappy and said, I only have 6 shelves, whatever that means, so I just left and we ate with plastic spoons. I didn’t dare ask when they were bringing more food out.  The room was clean, but it needed to be dusted.  Lots of dust on the lamps. I also have to say the walls are a little thin. Anyone who walked down the hallway talking we heard everything they said.  I always travel with a fan so it drowned out any noise at night.

Overall, our stay was good and we would stay here again.

Nice

We spent three nights here and were very satisfied. The check in was great. There was a glitch but Preston fixed it right away. All the staff we encountered were pleasant. The room was very clean, the right temperature, quiet and the beds were comfortable. We used the pool and it was pleasant. A bit warm in the room but the water offered relief from that. It would have been nice to have a hot tub. Breakfast was wonderful. Great and different choices each morning. And the giant cinnamon rolls were loved by everyone. The location is near restaurants. Attractions are a not hard to drive to. I would definitely stay here again if in this area and recommend it to others.

Wonderful place

Great hotel! The guy at the desk was super friendly and very helpful. Our room was clean, there was a good supply of free toiletries. There was a laundry room and a pool, all were very well maintained. The free breakfast was delicious and there was a nice lady there that would come and clear off your dirty dishes. 
I would definitely recommend staying here.

A Great Choice

We were traveling and had made reservations at this hotel and I am so happy we did! This Holiday Inn Express is one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in lately. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean.  The breakfast area was kept well stocked and constantly cleaned by two very nice ladies.  I was really impressed with the employees, they were friendly and helpful!  Perfect hotel for an overnight stay if you are in the St Joseph area!

Great Place

Conveniently located just off the Route 29 exit to the nearby mall, this hotel offers its guests comfortable rooms, a nice indoor pool, and a good breakfast buffet served in a well appointed lounge. Only downside is that the 4 story hotel has only one elevator, which means you may end up standing in line to get a ride to your floor. We skipped the wait and used the stairs to reach the top floor
