Lovely place to stay and to experience local life, only about 25 km away from Chisinau. Three modern, wooden guest houses, each consisting of a sleeping room, living room with a well equipped kitchen, bathroom with a shower are on the grounds next to the Day care centre and a small Elderly people's home that cater for elderly people in need. The valuable thing of staying here is that all the proceeds go directly to those social service projects. You can just enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the place under the beautiful chestnut trees or even join in as a volunteer and participate in various activities of the centre. Marshutkas (mini vans that serve as local transport) leave very often to Chisinau, there are also taxis available at the station. The station is about 10 minutes away by walking. If you tell in advance, always helpful staff (English is spoken) can arrange for you transfer to the airport or even sightseeing trips. Breakfast is included in the price, lunch and dinner are available for a small fee, but quality varies so you better check what is on the menu for that day. Otherwise there are kitchen facilities in the houses, big supermarket near by, pizzeria and several restaurants in the town. Water is not recommended for drinking (just as anywhere in Moldova), but you can get for free filtered, drinking water in the kitchen. Internet is available at the Day care centre where guests have access. Highly recommended place.
