Hiltown Hotel

While my stay at Hiltown Hotel in Sylhet was mostly enjoyable, there were a few minor issues that I encountered. One aspect that could be improved upon is the speed of the Wi-Fi connection. Although available throughout the property, I found the internet to be somewhat slow at times, which made it challenging to stay connected, especially when trying to work or stream content.

Additionally, while the staff was generally attentive and accommodating, there were instances where the service could have been more prompt and efficient. Despite these minor inconveniences, they did not significantly detract from my overall experience at the hotel.

My stay at Hiltown Hotel in Sylhet was a delightful blend of comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality.

Average quality food in their restaurant, lack of other facilities, don't have buffet food services. No scenic view in the rooms, worse hotel lobby ever i have seen. No wifi in the rooms. Don't have much items for breakfast complimentary food(Only Roti/Paratha). And the night i was staying there, some one was fighting/arguing outside in the corridor loudly in the middle of the night, which was just in front of my room's door door, but no body came to stop them. And charged us extra 2000BDT for car rental to go to some sights. Comparably food was expensive in their restaurant. And lastly the Tea was worse.

Review for Hiltown Hotel

When we went out very early in the morning we left our key to them reminding them for a room makeup but after we've seen that none of ournroom was prepared. And we also have to give early orders for any kind of meal. In addition to the maintainance, they offered free wifi connectivity, in fact the signal strength was very poor and the speed was not sufficient and only the couple suits (with bad connectivity) can enjoy it because the signal does not reach that far to reach the twin bed suit. As a renovated old hotel the hotel adminstration must take extra care to give extra facilities and upgrade the normal facilities to a much better condition. 

Needs a lot of improvement

I booked two twin bed rooms through Booking.com for two nights. The booking, reception and check in all went well. The rooms are small compared to price and air conditioning is not efficient. On the second day when we came back in the evening, to our dismay we found that the rooms were not made, not even the bathrooms were cleaned and toiletries were not replenished - for which they couldn't give satisfactory explanation. We had to call the room service at night for drinking water, soap, toilet paper etc. The in house restaurant is beautifully decorated but there were not much to eat. There was free breakfast with the rooms but selection of food was very limited and we have to pay for what we ordered extra. Cleanliness is satisfactory and staff are good but they are not trained to manage a star level hotel. In the room there was no diagram for emergency exit although Sylhet falls in the earthquake zone and at that time there were frequent tremor going on in Nepal. Definitely we will not go back to this hotel.

Not a three star hotel!

Not a bad place. Only went in for tea as I assumed it was a crafty suggestion of Hilton Hotels. In fact it was very pleasant with courteous staff. Decent (but weak) tea, and sliced western style bread is not that good in Bangladesh for toast. Should have asked for a paratha and jam.

Nice hotel and staff,,,,,, room having some bad smells,,,,,, we just stayed for few hours,,,,,, area is not clean enough,,,,, good place for short stay,,,,,, need some more attention of management about cleaning, humidity, service and others,,,,,,,
