We had a great time , the owner was very pleasant to talk to , the room rented was clean and was well equipped

A very loud Camping Place. People were sitting outside very long during the night and have been very loud. No one of the camping owner was there to watch the night calm. I would not recommend this campground.

Very loud

Very nice place, with a view to the North sea, and lots of hiking trails that take you around the area. A nice beach/bathing facility in the sea is within walking distance.

The camping is a mix of caravans, camper cans, and small cabins. 

The staff is superfriendly, and very helpfulin finding the right spot that you want for your caravan. Very helpful, and nice place. 

Will definitely go again later.

Great service and great view

After a long holiday through Norway with only great experiences, we were planning to stay at Haraldshaugen camping for our last days. Unfortunately this did not happen, after we had an uncomfortable experience with the owner. 

We arrived and the receptionist gave us the keys to show us a few different cabins available for the three of us (2 adults and a child). While we were choosing between these, the owner came and said that these were not an option for us after all - we had to choose a more expensive cabin instead. He explained that it was because of fire safety, that we could only be 2 people in the other cabins, however, one of his arguments completely shocked us. In front of my 5 year old son, he says «you wouldn’t want your child to die in a fire would you?». 

The communication was clearly failing between us because obviously, that is not something we would ever risk(!), but why would the receptionist show us cabins that were not safe for the three of us? We accepted that the more expensive cabin was the option for us, but we asked if there was any discount for a longer stay, as most campings have this for 5 nights and more. The owner did not take this well and proceeded to shout at us that we do not care about the safety of our child.

I will not recommend this camping grounds to anyone until the owner has completed a course in communication and customer service.

Uncomfortable

I was very impressed with this campsite and have just had 2 stays there in between a trip to Utsira Island.   The staff there are great, reception is well organized as is the whole campsite.   Neat, clean and tidy.  Good sign posts and information around the camp (even an information booklet in the cabins).   Big plus is that they keep cleaning the toilets and showers every few hours, so these are kept very clean.

Despite being busy over the weekend, the staff managed it all extremely well.   Even with a lot of people there is was quiet after 2300.  Great location too, with the sea just outside the boundary and a Kiwi supermarket about 500m away (and also a bus stop for those without cars).    

The small cabins are basic but are clean and comfortable with good matrasses.   Even had a kettle in the cabin, as well as fast and reliable internet.  There is a small common kitchen next to the reception area.

An extra bonus was live music on Friday night (this did not go on late, so sleeping was no problem).

Given the location and the fact that this campsite is extremely well run then I would recommend it 100%.    Hoping to return to it for a 3rd stay.

Very well run and well-organized campsite

I had a very short, but a very pleasant stay in Haraldshaugen. The common areas were amazingly clean. The only downside was that you had to pay for sheets and showering.

A perfect holiday for our family. We stayed in a cabin with kitchen and private bathroom, and that was great for us. The staff is friendly and really helpful. The surroundings are stunning!

North See as nearest naboer and just a little walk to Haugesund centrum. Clean and well groomed all over. Staff who do all to make the best day for you. Commend barbeque area and glass lounge for free use. Rental of electric bik.

Breathtaking sunset

Caping is just next to the ocean, beautiful paths to walk around, there is also glass cabin you can use for free with tables, perfect for breakfast or chill afternoon with a book.

place is great, room was nice, shower and kitchen facilities were clean and fully equipped
the views areound are amazing, would love to come back for longer stay
