Wonder location with a view of the glacier. Terrific dinner and breakfast. We would stay again!

Absolutely stunning location in a green field of a farm with sheeps all around!

Enjoyed our stay.  Fun location surrounded by lots of sheep.   Ate both dinner and breakfast there.   Both were delicious!

This is a lovely guesthouse in a beautiful farm setting. We enjoyed seeing all the lambs with their mamas coming in. We had a spacious room and ours came with a private bath, which is a rarity in Iceland. The staff were kind and helpful and the breakfast was really good: different breads, cheeses, fruit, cold cuts, etc.

Really peaceful and cozy! It’s a must! Don’t think about it… be ready for farm life ❤️

The guesthouse is down a long gravel road/driveway. Our rental car handled it well. We had a room on the first floor and it was a little loud because the dining room was just a few feet from our door. Our room was clean. The breakfast was great: cheeses, jams, fresh breads, cut fruit, hard boiled eggs. We would stay again!

Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who gave us a quick introduction to the property and our accommodation. Our cabin was separate and independent from others or the main building which was nice. It felt like our little home for the night. Great vistas over the vast and stunning surrounding countryside from our porch. The accommodation was simple but good however there was no shower gel, shampoo, or washcloths in our bathroom, which is otherwise experienced as standard in Iceland. There were significant winds and driving hail overnight but our cabin felt very solid and secure.Breakfast was varied and quite good, with really nice fresh baked bread to start the day.

Off the beaten track but worth the effort

What a nice surprise and novel stay! On a working sheep farm!  All of the sheep were put up in the barn because of the cold, wind and snow. All nice and cozy and looking out of their windows when we arrived and left.  This was a remotely located farm and in the snow we had thought we turned down the road that looked like it had ended at an abandoned house overlooking the sea (we arrived at night).  But the farm was very courteous and had ample lighting on in the buildings so that we could see it happily beckoning us.

The guesthouse has a small cabin like building with single level guest rooms. We somehow were delighted to be assigned one of two of the free standing cabins overlooking the distant sea.  This was our largest accommodation  we were in for our Ring Road Tour.  The cabin was beautiful and very spacious. Had it's little dining area with tables and chairs, a small sequestered sitting area with a full couch, a nice size bathroom (with hairdryer and soaps/body wash), and a spacious sleeping area. We were grateful for the dining space because we had been out climbing glaciers all day and we were exhausted. We only wanted to eat the food we bought along the way for a "room picnic" :)

Yes, the little guesthouse had a dining area that actually served dinner (guess what? LAMB (among other options).  We were aware that it had the reputation for the best lamb dish in the Circle, but we'll have to explore that next time around when the weather is better.  The same dining area converted into the breakfast offering (included) of traditional Icelandic Breakfast fare (breads, cereals, skyr, fruit, cheese, cold cuts and coffee, etc.).

This little place was fun and we look forward to visiting it again on our fishing trip when the weather is clear and cooperative!

A Stay on a Working Farm

The accommodation is fairly basic. We had the wooden cabin which was warm and clean other superb views. Breakfast was a buffet and was fine, the homemade bread was great. However the one thing which is worth travelling here for is the lamb dinner! Wow!! I don’t think I’ve ever had such a nice tasty meal ever and it was only ISK 3900. The kids had lamb burgers including fries which were only ISK 2190. Tea and coffee was included

We stayed in the separate cottage with private bathroom and had an excellent stay. The room was perfect for our family of 4 with plenty of space for all of us. The room was quiet, clean and the beds were comfortable. The views of the views of the glaciers from the front porch were amazing! We also ate dinner here the night we arrived and was one of the best meals on our trip to Iceland. We had burgers, lamb and fish and chips and all of us enjoyed the dessert. Breakfast was also very good with a great selection. The property was also well signed on the Ring Road and the short, gravel road was in great condition. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Great stay!

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff pleasant and helpful. We opted for dinner at the guesthouse because Hofn is 40 minutes away. Dinner was good. Breakfast was adequate- skyr with granola, cereal, bread and spreads, hard boiled eggs, meat and cheese, etc.  The room could really use more hooks to hang jackets, and also to hang towels.

Quiet setting, comfortable room

This guesthouse is located around 3.5km down a gravel road just off the ring road, which means it is so peaceful and has fantastic views of the the surrounding area (including the glacier), We arrived here at 8pm after a very long day driving. We hadn’t eaten so we’re pleased we made it in time for dinner (we had to take our seats and order immediately). As other reviews had recommended the lamb, we both chose that and were not disappointed, it was beautiful. The room (we paid extra to have a room in the main building with our own bathroom) was modern and very warm. Simply furnished but fine for one night, but those views! We enjoyed watching the wildlife from our window, (we were in the eaves of the building) so many species of birds and also sheep with cute lambs frolicking. Breakfast was a simple buffet with enough choice to set us up for the day, I can highly recommend the freshly baked bread.

Peaceful location with stunning views

Only 3,5 km from a main road, about 30 min drive from Höfn. If you come late on the evening your room keys will wait for you with a greeting letter and all needed informations.Nice and clean rooms with a comfy rooms and a great viev. Simple but good breakfast on a morning. If you like countrysite it's a place for you
