Lovely Bb with great hosts.
Very nice decor and fantastic surroundings.
Well looked after and very homely feel about the property. 
Beds a good size and very comfortable too. 
Rooms very clean and modern. 
Close to shop and in a great spot next to the Loch.

Roddy and Carolanne were brilliant. The room and bathroom were spotless and beautifully decorated. We were the only people staying so had full use of the living room which has a great tv and comfy sofa. The guest house has amazing views of the loch. Roddy and Carolanne made us a soup and steak dinner which was 10/10 - so good! We had a great sleep, the bed is super comfy. We woke up to a huge spread for breakfast which included continental and a fry up. Roddy and Carolanne couldn’t have been more attentive, we can’t wait to come back!

Great hosts made this stay even more memorable. The guesthouse enjoys a great view over the loch, with rolling hills and cute highland sheep all around. We felt cosily protected from the wild Hebridean weather outside. Our large room was recently refurbished and very comfortably and tastefully furnished. The breakfast was generous and delicious. And did I mention the complimentary whisky and gin?!

We had a 2 night stay at Grimisdale.  The guest house has undergone recent refurbishment and our room which was overlooking a loch was spacious and clean.  The lounge area is beautifully decorated and has spectacular views. The king size bed was super comfy and we slept well both nights. 
Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice that was all fresh and very tasty.  Carol Anne gave us suggestions of places to visit on the island which was great.

Carol anne and Roddy are wonderful hosts. Beautiful setting, recently renovated with luxurious and thoughtful details in the rooms and delicious breakfast.
There is a wonderful guests lounge room with fabulous views and a deck to sit and enjoy a local G&T or Whiskey.
Highly recommend you stay at Grimisdale Guest House and enjoy all that South Harris has to offer.

Location location location !!! What a fabulous place to stay. I don't think the website photos and description do this place justice. It is totally equipped with all the comforts of home. It used to be a B + B so all the bedrooms are ensuite. The views from both the upstairs and downstairs balconies are superb.
It is also only a short stroll from an excellent shop (more of a small supermarket) and a 25 minute walk from the local bar/restaurant. The owner Farquhar is very helpful and quick to answer emails.

We spent a week at Grimisdale self catering the house is in a great location for a family holiday the beaches are not that far away and you can also fish in the loch at the back of the house

Having stayed here before when it was a bed and breakfast with Farky and Danielle we would highly recommend this holiday we will definitely be back again

Nice guest house with good views over the loch at the rear of the house, the two nights we spent there we wonderful sunsets over the loch.
The guest house is very clean our room and enquire was well appointed with everything you require. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. The owner was very friendly, polite and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed in 'St.Kilda' Room which has views of the car park, for 3 nights during a trip of the Outer Hebrides and Isle of Skye. The host 'Farky' greeted us with a warm welcome, he is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area, for recommendations for eating out and local attractions. The guest house has a very 'homely' feel to it, it is staying in his private home. There are no locks on the bedroom doors from the outside, and the front door is not always locked. The room was nicely presented with an en suite shower room, bonus here of lovely large bath towels! tea and coffee making facilities and a TV. The bed was very comfortable and a good size, the room was lovely and warm. The wifi code was on the wall but we couldn't get it to work. It was peaceful and quiet most of the time. There was nearby petrol station, shop and restaurant. It is also near to the ferry harbour for people wanting to travel to Uist. The guest sitting room was upstairs, with a balcony with loch view which was nice. The host has two dogs, which are very friendly. The only negatives we found was that the breakfast dinning area is in the hosts private lounge, which felt slightly odd, as all their personal things were there.  I dropped my serviette on the floor at breakfast and it was covered in dog hairs when I picked it back up - the dogs were not in the lounge during breakfast but it could have done with a clean before guests use this area when dining. The breakfast choice was average there was egg, cereal, toast and porridge (which was nice) on the menu, the portions were large. The Scottish breakfast choice was limited to meat and eggs. It would have been really nice to have beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, etc, for people like me who prefer less meat at breakfast. As we stay in many B&B's each summer while visiting the Hebrides, we found the price excessive for this stay compared to other B&B's that we have stayed in of a similar standard or better. We really liked Farky and thought he could do with a day off, or a rest, and have some support or help with the general running of the place, although he was very accommodating, we could see he was rushing around trying to do everything.

Basically agree with Becky Twigs review - not much to add.  Very expensive for an average B and B with a limited breakfast.  There are not many places to stay in the area so the owner can pretty well charge what he wants.
