We spent few nights here and left to explore southern Bangladesh , came back before heading up north and came back agsin before leaving the country. What more can I say. It was like being at home thanx to most wonderful host Mr .Aslam , who made our stay special. He helped us with tickets from Dhaka, was a great friend while exploring the city, and, the best chef ever cooking home made hearty dinners. This place is one of a kind. Will go back when visiting Bangladesh again. There is no another place in Dhaka we will stay.

Amazing 

I've stayed a couple of times at Green House in Gulshan and can rely on clean, comfortable accommodation and excellent, attentive service.  I stayed in a large room with ensuite and its own small verandah overlooking the Gulshan Lake jogging/walking park. The room has a bed, desk and chair, small refrigerator, aircon, fan and tv and there is free, reliable wifi. There is a common dining area with breakfast included in the room rate (fruit, toast, eggs, tea/coffee) where you can help yourself to tea or coffee through- out your stay. By pre-arrangement, you can request other meals (lunch or dinner) and enjoy Bangladesh cooking at its best, with large helpings and at very reasonable cost.  The owners and staff couldn't be more attentive and helpful and can arrange airport transfers if needed.

Clean, Comfortable and Excellent Service

I enjoyed my stay there. The owners and their employees and family were very nice and hospitable, professional. I had no unexpected charges, and they were generous with helpful tips and information and their time. The neighborhood was a little too quiet; not so easy to get a CNG as other neighborhoods. Almost nothing in the immediate vicinity, but a short walk away. Food was a bit bland for me, but I suspect that was done out of consideration since most foreigners find Bangladeshi food too spicy. The Wi-Fi and backup generator were reliable and invaluable. There was no bathtub, but they were relocating, so that may be why. The staff (and the owners) were attentive and friendly. The owners' little girl was very cute. The owners even invited me  with them on a country trip, but I didn't go because I moved to other accommodations that a friend arranged for me. I thought it was very nice of them to ask, especially since travel was restricted due to the blockades and strikes going on nation-wide, and I'd pretty much exhausted all my guidebook's suggestions.

We stayed with a group several days at the Green House in Baridhara district last month. It's a very good (posh) neighboorheid and easy/quick to reach from the airport. 
The rooms are clean, with working air conditioning (because of a generator). The staff is helpfull,.. but on the other hand the really try to make (a lot of money) out of anything. And of course, it's Bangladesh. But when I asked them to help me to achieve this flight ticket, they told me the office (in gulshan) was closed, so I had to book the ticket through them (with 10% commission of course). Then I went to the office the same day and the office was not closed at all. They had no comment when I got back and told them the office was open. The same they did with our airport drop off. First it was free and then they just add 15 US dollars per person to your bill (without telling)!!! While a taxi is 300 thaka (3 euros). I don't really like these things. Making money is fine, but in proportions. These people are not reliable (which is very important when you're in a country with a lot of hartals at the moment). So clean, comfortable rooms, but not very reliable people! You can choose!

Mixed feelings for Green House@Baridhara (not Gulshan)

Green House in Baridhara, Dhaka, is a wonderful respite from the hustle and bustle of Dhaka. Although the location in Gulshan was more convenient, the Baridhara location is nice and quiet, very safe and close to the diplomatic zone and clubs, such as the Dutch club.
Very nice, comfortable rooms, good, solid breakfast and excellent meals, if you want them, with a strong local flavour (why eat hamburgers or similar when in Dhaka anyway?). I've used Green House several times and Maya and her staff feel like family by now.

Bangladeshi hospitality

Well we stayed there for almost a week, friendly advices but yes little expensive, we were allowed to use the kitchen and the biggest advantage was it was quite and peaceful comparatively as dhaka itself is full of noise so recommended if you don't mind spending little extra
