HOTEL: Greeted by the staff as soon as you step off the bus with a lovely welcoming dance and drink You can see a view of the beautiful ocean straight through the lobby. Check-in was extremely easy. They secure your belongings if your room isn’t quite ready yet. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained and also accessible with spots to sit along the way as needed. If you have an injury or a disability this can be especially appreciated (although not a large resort). The rooms are cleaned every day with fresh towels, and hot water in the shower. I was in building 5. It can get a bit loud some nights as the 24 hour snack bar is located just steps away. The beds are also very comfortable. Note: No need to worry about power outages as the resorts run off generators. BEACH: Absolutely gorgeous! Just a couple minute walk along the path to the right of the resort. White sand and breathtaking views. I didn’t spend a lot of time here because there was very little breeze and the ocean water was warm so I preferred to be by the pool to cool off. POOLS: Always clean. I preferred the pool closest to the lobby because it is the deepest pool which meant a bit cooler and also a bit quieter. There are two more pools just steps away, one being the infinity pool and this is where they have fun entertaining should you choose to just watch or participate. The entertainment staff are sure to impress. Special shout out to Ritchie who is very entertaining and Lendys who looks after the little kiddos and always a smile on her face. FOOD/DRINKS I personally enjoyed the food. Always something to choose and they have Canadian day with a decent poutine and Cuban day with amazing soup! I want to make the soup at home! I preferred the buffet for more options. You can also get yummy sandwiches from the snack bar as well as fresh eggs there in the mornings until 11am. The drinks are tasty whether you want a cocktail or mocktail. The cappuccino in the mornings were my favourite. Overall, this resort exceeded my expectations. Lala at the buffet, Augusto at the cigar bar, Gabriel at the sports bar, Nadir at the snack bar, Danny & Yadi & Barbaro at the lobby bar, and especially Adrian in maid services really went above and beyond to make my stay extra special. You truly feel like a family member at this resort. This is probably why there is a high return rate of repeat guests. You should experience it for yourself and like most, you will definitely see yourself returning again and again like I will.
