Maureen, you are a doll!  Your home so welcoming, the bedroom so comfy, slept great!  Breakfast really good!  A short walk into Galway town, just perfect!  Wifi excellent.  We have recommended Maureen and her sister, Sara's places to family members and they all agree, great stays!  
Maureen, You and Sara (Ross House) are the best.  Please take care of yourself!  Guests,  Talk to Maureen, she's a hoot!

Maureen is very sweet and has lived there her whole life.  B&B is like most in that it is styled like a normal house meaning smallish room/bathroom.  Also similar to all the other B&Bs we stayed at, the heat is modest even when turned all the way up.  Irish are just used to 50 degree weather, so pack some warm socks.  Strange thing was that we didn't get any toiletries like soap/shampoo which was something that never occurred elsewhere.

Location is excellent as it is a 10-15 minute walk to both of the key areas in town.  We enjoyed a morning walk along the water way that leads to town.  Parking on street was ample and breakfast was tasty.

Maureen was a fabulous host. We had a very comfortable room and the B&B is in a very quiet neighbourhood. We had a delicious cooked breakfast on our first morning, but then had to leave before breakfast the next day so Maureen made up some sandwiches for us to have in the car. The B&B is a very convenient 10 minute walk into the centre of Galway. There is also a supermarket only 5 minute walk away.

Can't say enough good things about this place. Our hostess Margaret greeted us like family, settled us into a lovely room, served us a delicious breakfast, and helped us plan our day. We had a delightful time.

This B&B is a great choice if you're visiting Galway and don't mind being away from the city center. Glencree is located on a quiet street in Salthill, a lovely seaside community that is still in walking distance from downtown Galway. The rooms are on the small side, but they are perfectly clean and a great value. The best part about this B&B is the hostess, Maureen. She is warm, welcoming, and went out of her way to help us out during our visit. She makes a filling breakfast and makes sure that you have plenty of everything. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and would stay her again if visiting Galway.

Helpful Hostess and Great Bargain

Wonderful B&B

My stay was in September 2019.  This is in a nice location.  Close enough to walk to town, but far enough away to be quiet.  It's definitely an older home.  The room was clean but very small.  The bathroom was extremely small.  I'm a small person and it felt tight.  I can't imagine someone large using it.  The owner was very nice and the breakfast is generous.

Stayed 2 nights. Greeted warmly and very hospitable when arriving earlier than anticipated. Beds cleans but hard mattresses. Within 15-20 min walking distance to city center and 5 min to promenade. Carpet in rooms really need cleaning. Parking was in driveway and very convenient. Breakfast seemed like microwaved or leftovers although it served its purpose. Had slight smell of smoke like others have said.
