Gasthof Ahrekeller 

Looking for an opportunity to visit Sauerland, we arrived at our pre-chosen destination. Situated in a quite pretty village, Gasthof Ahrekeller was all that we desired it to be. Welcoming and comfortable. Having met the present manager ( owner to be?) we quickly felt at home. Loved the ambience, the 'old style' which one would expect in this region. The rooms ( we had booked two) were spacious and comfortable. The bathroom well equipped with hairdryer and plenty of places to hang and store the necessary items needed for hygiene care. Loved the high pressure of the shower. A treat. The wardrobe with plenty of coat hangers and shelving, the table and chairs for a comfy sit while in the room. Beds very comfy. We spent 3 nights and had no back ache so mattress was super. The meals were lovingly prepared - that's a main ingredient in a good tasting dish. The absent owner is in process of handing the establishment over possibly to the present manager. I hope this eventuates. A great host and a hard worker.We have listed the address in our holiday options book. Wifi available but internet access slow due to the area
