Fairfield Inn New York Manhattan/Financial District

Phenomenal place to stay! After a disastrous few hours at the worst hotel in NYC (Tribeca FiDi) we landed ourselves here late for our first night ever in NYC. We were exhausted and it was comforting to arrive to a pleasant man smiling at the front desk. He was quick to check us in and every time we came and went throughout our 3 night stay, he was ready to say "Have a good day" and "Welcome back". The rooms were small but clean. The beds were firm but comfortable. The windows were floor to ceiling and the halls were quiet. I hate hotel breakfast but this location has the best breakfast! I won't eat scrambled eggs unless I make them but they out did my ability to make scrambled eggs. They also had ham or bacon each morning. Two milk choices were available including Horizon, which I found thoughtful because they do not require refrigeration and I was able to take one to go for a mid morning blood sugar fix. I also loved that the lobby floor seating was available for clients to use throughout the day and late into the night. My family and I were able to enjoy pizza at the tables instead of eating awkwardly in our rooms. The hotel is a 14 minute walk to the 9/11 memorial and a 14 minute walk to Battery Park for the ferry rides for the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island. It is a 7 minute walk to the red line for the subway. This hotel is a great price point and will not disappoint you.
