Lovely, clean hotel in great location. Friendly, helpful & professional staff. Excellent variety of fresh food. Room was a good size with comfy beds and blackout curtains. There was literally no noise from adjacent rooms. When we were there, the hotel had a real mix of families, couples and elderly people. The swimming pool was too cold for me but the 'indoor' pool was heated. Spa treatments were reasonably priced. The hotel is 1/2 hour from the airport. It is also walking distance to Funchal Old Town with many food/drinks outlets along the way. Although it is quite hilly. We don't usually return to the same place twice but are thinking of staying at this hotel again at the end of the summer in order to explore a bit more of this beautiful island.

Due to an unforeseen technical issue, the indoor pool at the hotel will be out of service starting November 24th, 2025 for a period of 3 weeks. As an alternative, the hotel’s spa indoor pool with 2 jacuzzis, as well as the outdoor pool, will be fully operational.
