The bungalows are spacious, clean, and the beds are comfortable. The owner is fantastic and very helpful. It is quite,peaceful and rustic. Two minute walk to eat, drink and buy supplies. The beach is 4 minutes away and is beautiful. The mosquito net is a must at night. I used insect repellant and was not bitten at all. For the money this is a great place to stay.

I doubt that there is another hotel in Mexico that dares charge $100 a night and doesn't even have hot water. It may well have been high season but friends were staying in similar accomodation for half the price. I would think the room was worth about $40 a night. So a complete rip off. What another writer said about noise was right - it may be central but noise from local bars makes sleep difficult. The wifi everywhere is just not right- not at all in the bungalow, about one minute in 10 on the terrasse and only fully available by standing at one point on the pathway. It was explained to me that there were too many people using it but at the restaurant a few metres away,their wifi worked perfectly. So my advice is if you want to go to lovely Zipolite for high season, book WAY in advance and avoid having to be left with having to stay here!

$100  a night without hot water?

We arrived for a 11 night stay, fully confirmed by booking.com The manager "Julian" instead of greeting us, the first thing he said as we arrived was: "there is a problem" a very French way. Did not respect our booking, asked us to leave before, had to find mother hotel on our last night. Changed us to a cheaper room so he could "resell" ours. Super expensive, NO AIR CONDITIONING, cleaning only once in 9 nights that we stayed. Honestly don't stay there, a complete rip-off.

Don't stay here!

We chose El jardin because it was not on the main road or the beach. We wanted a quiet place for our vacation. It turned out it is the noisiest place in Zipolite. Next to this place there is a hen house. Roosters wakes you up at 4:00 AM. Also nearby there is a beachclub where they play very lound music until 4:00 AM. There is no way you can rest or sleep at this place. Last thing, we have no access to wi-fi in our bungalow. We have to go down by the entrance. It is not worth 700 $ a week. If you want a relaxing vacation, please try something far from this area.
