We have been going up to five times a year for 25 years now. If the room was closer to the beach the sand would be under our feet. Comfortable rooms that are dog friendly. We love the place. Views that can not be beat for any price. And yes, we rebooked our room for the same week next year.

Jeanette was so accommodating and is an interesting lady she owns this place. We had a room on the second floor which had views of the rock and the beach. We had a kitchen, dining table, comfy chairs, table, dresser, 2 twin beds, fireplace and bathroom. It was perfect in every way. 

We loved our stay at Ecola Inn. It is a historic hotel so the floors were uneven but that is the only negative thing I could say and we expect that at historic hotels. The bathroom and kitchen were new and the staff was so friendly and so helpful. The kitchen was well stocked and new towels were delivered each day but most of all....the location!!!The view out our window was amazing! We could walk right out our door and be on the beach!!! We took morning and sunset walks each day and had fires on the beach at night and it was so convenient.  We will definately come back again if we ever travel to the Oregon Coast again!!! This is by no means a "luxury property" and admittedly dated, but it offers all the comfort you could ask for at an exceptionally reasonable price. I've stayed in all of the beachfront hotels in CB and this family owned/operated small property is very unpretentious but well-equipt. Full kitchen, the best view of Haystack on the beach. You are literally right across from the iconic rock and your room opens directly onto the sand. There is a lovely staff who provide exceptionally good service. They are more than happy to accommodate any special requests (extra towels, dishware, etc.) and strive to provide a comfortable atmosphere for their guests. The family has held this property for generations and also owns the adjacent land beneath the adjacent Wayfarer; they could easily make a fortune selling out but are determined to provide a place where the average joe can still get a nice room on the beach. Long live the Ecola!

Another week at the Ecola Inn

Great views

Been a couple years since my last stay. Used to go every year week before Thanksgiving.  Was always able to rebook for the next year with same room as we had done for many years. However I was told because of the way the Labor Day Holiday came, we couldn't book.  Evidently another party had booked it previously. They were not accommodating in the least so haven't been back, even after several years of same time same place in the past.

Quiet Stay

After spending a wonderful day enjoying the beauty of the Oregon coast, we decided to stay at the Ecola Inn. When we first checked in, the person at the front desk was very personable and helpful. After enjoying the sunset and some of the local night life we headed back to our room for the evening.

We called the front desk to ask for an extra blanket as the room was cold and we later discovered that the heat is not directly controlled in the room. The person who answered the phone was obviously annoyed and asked us to come to her rather than delivering the blanket to our room. 

We thought this request was a little odd but proceeded to the front desk to pick up the blanket. The lady manning the desk asked questions that I felt were inappropriate based on the fact that all we had requested was an extra blanket. 

Earlier in the day we had asked about access to the deck and the conversation veered into a conversation about insurance and other matters which we felt were completely out of context. 

The view from the room is amazing. The price for the room is very reasonable.  However, the service was odd at best and we will not be staying here again. 

 Disappointed

This Inn took total and complete advantage of us... basically did not keep their promise, meaning the unusual way to book a room...call them, you'll figure it out very fast, or save yourself some unnecessary inconvenience!
Unprofessional, antiquated, without concern for any standards or integrity! Add to that no interest in your welfare either, they don't care!
