Accra

A quiet hotel in one of the best areas of Accra, not far from the city centre and close to a good restaurant and a supermarket. The staff were helpful and friendly. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning was effective. The grounds were beautifully landscaped. There is a swimming pool, though I didn't use it.

Although there were no hygiene problems, the bathroom was past the end of its life and needs refitting. 

The furniture in the bedroom was dated. There was a swivel chair with a missing castor, which was dangerous to sit on.

The positives outweigh the negatives, and I would stay here again if I was visiting 
Accra.

Quiet hotel in an excellent location

The hotel is located in the embassy area of Accra so is safe. Rooms are a little dated and the decor does need refreshing. Rooms are good, big comfortable bed with a/c, ample hot water and shower. Cupboards and and a desk plus Cable TV. But it is a convenient and budget friendly hotel. Staff were lovely as was the food.

A welcoming and homely place to stay

The staff is friendly and the hotel is a place where I would not hesitate to take my wife. There is a pool and I did not use it but it looked clean.The food menu was limited but if you ordered supper when you left lunch you will most likely get your food within 5-10 after you enter the restaurant. If you do not order ahead you may wait 30+ minutes since they do not start preparing the food until you order it.  It is important that you give them a time and keep that time other wise if you do not keep time they may not have it ready the next time you order.
the rooms are spacious and have a teapot for making tea or coffee.  It is not filter coffee.  I stayed there two days in different weeks.

Friendly and Close to the airport

Eastoment Guest Lodge is in Cantonment area, very close to the American Embassy and is a great solution if you need a clean and not-so-expensive accommodation. Rooms are spacious, clean, with fridge,TV,AC, wardrobe and a kettle. Breakfast is included and I never left the hotel hungry! Also, it is very close to some restaurants (Bosphurus, Kaya) and Koala supermarket will be there soon.
Last but not least, personnel is very friendly and helpful. If I will be ever back to lovely Accra, I promise I will go to visit them again.

Night desk clerk surly and acted put out when I gave him the Expedia print-out. Morning staff cheerful and helpful. Great breakfast.Room a bit shabby, paint peeling in shower, but sheets and towels clean, floors clean.

I quite enjoyed the comfort of my room. The food also was enjoyable, and the service was courteous. If you are looking for a getaway from the hustle and bustle, Eastoment lodge should be your point of call.

Spacious and peaceful environment

We have experience of the area around the hotel so chose this as we knew where we would be in Accra. The other two reasons for choosing it was the offer of transport to.from the airport and a swimming pool. The pool was a disappointment as the tiles around the waters edge were grease stained and had not been cleaned in a long time. Furthermore, the area had no sunshades although there was evidence of them being there in the past and the only seating was chairs, no sunloungers.We were leaving on a Sunday and the hotel informed us that they could not get us to the airport as the one driver who worked Sundays was ill and it took a bit of persuading on our part to get them to hire and pay for a local taxi which would have cost them so little, having seen what they handed over to the driver.Breakfast was OK but the same everyday (baked beans, omellette, toast with tea or coffee, fresh pineapple, cornflakes and fruit juice. A choice of egg styles would have been nice. At least they use proper milk, unlike most Ghanaian hotels we have encountered who use condensed milk.Dinner was very expensive and the portions very small so we walked for about 20 minutes to a local restaurant who give much better choice and portions for less money.
