How do you describe perfection? Firstly the Drockerhof isn't a 5 star ski resort spa hotel,it offers charming apartments on a working farm with a view to die for in a delightful village in the hills outside Ortisei. The apartments themselves are a mixture of simplicity, good design, and craftsmanship. There is an abundance of natural materials wood (old and new), slate, and ceramics all beautifully crafted together to form a rustic but modern interior. In the living area there is a kitchenette and a big fridge to cater for most culinary needs. The bathroom has a great shower all mod cons. Bulla was perfect for us 15 mins in the car from Ortisei ( the Drockerhof provide free weekly bus tickets if you don't want to drive. It must be stated that Bulla is a mountain village with a handful of restaurants,there is not much else going on ,perfect if you want to soak up the peace and quite and of course that view. Finally a word about the hosts Tanya and Stephan Kostner and family , they are so friendly so welcoming and so helpful. Stephan does many jobs, farmer,mountain guide, ski instructor,and wood carver , his carvings of animals adorn the apartment , enchanting!
