The guesthouse is clean, they served great breakfast and Rashid and his staffs are very friendly and accomodating.They even served me food for free when I came in the afternoon and asked them where I can buy eat since I was a bit hungry when I arrived Maafushi and most of the stores are closed because of Ramadan. They even help me arrange an excursion trip as well as getting a speedboat going to the airport on my last day.
I really enjoyed my stay.

Great Place to Stay

the manager and the staff seemed very unfriendly from day 1. The last day the manager hardly complainted with us (almost scolded us!!) because we booked an excursion thru a travel agency and not thru him (!!!) and tried to let us feel wrong. I replied that we book wherever we please, especially since the guesthouse doesn't accept credit cards for payments. It was very awkward and unsettling. It never happened anything like that to me.

Poor service

Fantastic staff! 

Rashid and Shaffan did an excellent job from our arrival to our departure (5 nights stay). Very helpful with all our requests, always providing useful information about trips and everything one needs to know! 
Very cozy little place, perfectly located just a few minutes walk from the beach and shops, cleaning service twice a day, reliable (even though not the fastest) WiFi connection. 

A big thank you to the whole team, we will definitely be back!

Great holiday!

Very clean, simple, nicely furnished guest house with superb hospitality. The rooms are equipped with air conditioner and WiFi.
They even include breakfast in their really low price, although that is always the same fried egg, butter, jam, (sweet white) bread, water, soft drink and some fruits.
The guest house is not in the first line to the Ocean and the window looks to the inside court but everything is a walking distance as the dimension of the island is around 200 m × 1500 m. And for sure, you will not sit in your room but you will spend your time at the beach.
The only con is the diesel generator nearby that provides the electricity on the island. The noise level is not that bad, roughly similar to a refrigerator's whir, but it might disturb those who are sensitive to monotonous noises.
Altogether I really recommend Dream Lagoon to stay at.

Very good value for money

This place is more of a guesthouse than a hotel with only 3 rooms. Room is simple but clean. WiFi is not very reliable. The staff is helpful and one can always ask them to access the kitchen for cooking small items. We went with a small baby and used their kitchen several times to prepare baby food. They have limited breakfast choices and I don't think they serve other meals. It's better to inform them what you want for breakfast a day earlier. Since Maafushi is a very small island everything is a short walk away. This hotel does not face the beach but they have a playground right in front where it is interesting to see the locals playing till late evening. Overall this is decent for the price one pays. 

A place for the budget traveller

Stayed 7 days for USD $300 in spacious enough room with air con, fan, mini fridge. Two single beds joined but giving a great sleep. Breakfast included. Wifi worked well in room. Cleaned twice a day for sand etc and the housekeeping was first class. No electric kettle in room as advertised but Pintu and his mate more than happy to fill my coffee with hot water whenever I needed. Only 4 rooms and overall pretty quiet. Definitely budget and not your honeymoon romantic getaway kind of place but if you are budget travelling you will be more than satisfied. Shower clean. Shampoo provided and the water hot enough for the climate. Breakfast area out front. 5 minute walk to bikini beach and restaurants and bakery 100 metres away. Everything is close on Maafushi. You miss the breeze being a little back from the beach but room is more than OK to hang out in under the aircon. Pintu and the other housekeeping guy very friendly and helpful and make this a very relaxing the stay. The owner is around but pretty much leaves it up to the guys to look after anything you need - engaging and polite. Speed boat from Jetty 6 in Male was $20 (maybe 40 minutes) and you can buy a return ticket from icom tours on the island for same price (or $25 online).

Perfect Budget Option. Central location. Great staff

We stayed 2 nights in this nice resort, which is neat and clean, excellent facility without restaurant. You can get bed and breakfast. it is new property and has only 4-5 rooms. There was a nice boy from Bangladesh who was very sincere and helpful to guests. BUT Manager of the resort was horrible. We requested for a blanket in the evening, he came and mis-behaved us. He was fully drunk (drinking is illegal in Maldives) and crazy. We felt very unsafe during the night. I want to suggest to make sure that the same person is around or not before making reservation and staying in this resort.
