Playa Matapalo is one of Costa Rica’s best kept secrets. Its spectacular beach stretches some 40+ km and has perfect fine sand the entire length. We were at Dos Palmas over Christmas and the beach was not very busy at all. The 2 cabinas are very private and you get your own private table for breakfast, making this the perfect romantic getaway. The rooms are very clean and well kept. The owner is friendly and helpful and happy to recommend restaurants and activities in the area. Relax and watch the waves roll in and catch the spectacular sunsets every day!
