Dome Hotel 

We would be happy to visit the Dome again! It was a refined or sophisticated hotel with muted unobtrusive music. There was no entertainment whilst we were there which suited us absolutely fine. The pool area was spacious with plenty of sunbeds (in October). There was a normal pool, a salt water enclosed pool cut out of the rocks plus steps providing access down into the open sea. Our room had a sea view with a small balcony extending out over the sea. It was perfectly adequate for size and the bed was comfortable. Some of the fixtures and fittings were a little tired as with some general things around the hotel. FYI..there was no kettle in the room. Breakfast was buffet style. Food was plentiful albeit with an unusual range of foodstuffs for the english palate. We ate a couple of times at the Anchor restaurant which was linked to the hotel. We sat at a table right next to the sea but you could eat inside if you preferred. The prices were very reasonable and the food was good. The whole hotel was nice and quiet with few British voices in evidence. Walking out of the hotel and you were 200m from the centre of the town. There were plenty of restaurants around the harbour area which were a little more expensive. We ate there a couple of times and felt that one restaurant had taken advantage of us slightly so make sure you know what you are ordering. We liked Kyrenia because it is a proper town not a holiday resort and we feel that the Dome had the best location of all of the hotels which we saw whilst wandering around.
