Domaine de Rambeau

Traveling to Bordeaux has been a dream of mine for years and recently my husband and I were able to fulfill this dream. Because we live in Portugal we were able to drive assuming we wanted to bring back delicious French wine. So as I planned the trip, of course one of the most important things to arrange is where would we stay? Looking at the map of the area is a little overwhelming. I decided the countryside was a must. The next detail was a traditional French Château. And then I found Domaine de Rateau. Breakfast included✔️ château✔️ countryside✔️ pool✔️ beautiful outdoor space✔️ private bathroom✔️ affordable price✔️ dinner option ✔️ I quickly booked! Emmanuelle (our amazing hostess) made it easy to arrange our arrival and details for our stay. The day finally came and as we pulled up to the Château it was exactly as I dreamt it would be. Our hostess was amazing, welcoming, and accommodating from beginning to end. Breakfast was just as we wished and of course, we splurged on a dinner in. Meals were delicious and full of flavor. Our room was perfect, cozy and comfortable. Because of the time of year our visit was private and quiet just like we needed it to be. We were able to truly relax and unwind. The location was closer to Saint Émilion and within an hour of Bordeaux, it made exploring the area fantastic. Emmanuelle‘s recommendations were spot on and much appreciated. I highly recommend and look forward to our next visit.
