Disney's Polynesian Village Resort  

After a 20 plus-year hiatus, revisiting Disney's Polynesian Village Resort with my family for a week was a really delightful experience. While it's a large resort, the positives significantly outweigh the negatives. Highlights: Immersive Theming: The resort's theming enchanted our kids (especially the fire lanterns at night), making it a standout favourite. The themed rooms and grounds were particularly impressive. Monorail Access: Convenient monorail access to Magic Kingdom and Epcot is a huge advantage, simplifying park travel. Spacious Rooms: Our family of five comfortably occupied a single room, there was plenty of space for everyone Exceptional Pool: The pool area is a highlight, featuring a fantastically themed area with a small beach, slides, and a pool bar. Stringent lifeguard supervision was very welcome. The late opening hours were a bonus. Spectacular Fireworks Views: Watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the pool and beach area offered a wonderful view across the lake, complete with synchronised music, High-Quality Gym: The recently added gym is a welcome addition. Friendly Staff: The reception staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Areas for Improvement: Resort Size: The sheer size of the resort leads to busy common areas, particularly at reception and quick-service cafes. This can result in queues, requiring a lot of patience and strategic timing!! If you are seeking a tranquil escape you may find the bustling atmosphere less appealing. Quick-Service Dining: The quick-service cafe fell slightly short of the quality that we had at other resorts, such as the BoardWalk.
