Diplomat ApartHotel

When I first arrived in Ukraine, I needed a place to stay. I came across the Diplomat Hotel via Air BNB and moved into a sufficient room. The bed was comfortable and the room adequate for 1 guy by himself. however, the AC was unreliable so during some of the hot days, you're left to the mercy of a breeze hitting the 11th floor (depending on where you stay of course) which is what it is. I purchased an oscillating fan and it solved most of my problems. So that was nothing major, the only thing that really stuck with me was the smell coming up from the drains. (or somewhere in the bathroom) I would routinely ensure that water went down every drain in the apartment to prevent the rotten egg smell from overtaking the apartment. I don't know where it came from, but there was also a 2 person Jacuzzi in my room; so I flushed that out every other week to help keep the drains healthy. I don't know if it really had an effect overall, but it made me feel like I was at least trying to solve a problem on my own. This is the only issue I took 1 star away for. The internet service was extremely fast, so there was no issue doing anything I wanted to in the digital realm. (I could write far too lengthy reviews on Trip Adviser to my heart's content! haha) I don't know if I would go straight to the Diplomat Hotel straight away, but for the price, and being by myself; it was tolerable. (Air BNB may vary from actual hotel rooms though, I am not sure, some people own the apartments within the building)
