Excellent stay, we enjoyed our stay, the place was nice and clean with friendly staff. If you can add dinner option I am sure you can attract lots of visitors. Overall service was excellent and good value for money.

This was a last minute booking that turned out to be the most beautiful getaway. This feels like a landed estate in Tuscany next to a running stream & set in stunningly manicured lawns & gardens with a huge Oak Lane leading up to it. Modern rooms, lovely breakfast & superb interaction with owners/managers/staff (Liezl, Shaun, Magtel). 

Our stay was excellent. We would advise getting wi-fi. Also put small soaps in the bathroom.  Shower water pressure was also a problem. But overall really a beautiful place!! Breakfast was good...maybe add some fruit and muesli.. bigger variety.

The place is peaceful and relaxing.The service is just excellent and the staff is warm and caring.The clean environment made our stay special and we felt like we could stay for a longer period. I would certainly recommend the place to others

The bathroom did not have a door no privacy at all. The place is nice and clean but you need to have a door especially for the toilet it was really awkward. Maybe next time I book I will check if the toilet has a door or not

I attended a wedding this weekend past at your venue, coming all the way from Johannesburg. The wedding was lovely, but the food was terrible (un-cooked rice and tough meat and the green beans was watering), although the welcoming table was nice and adequate. I travelled from Johannesburg on the Friday and was satisfied with my accommodation on that night, although water pressure seems to be a problem in your rooms, or at least in the room that I stayed in.  On the wedding day or most of Saturday were there no water at all. I also have to say that I felt like a criminal with being constantly  checked upon. When I am in my paid for room, I would regard that as private and that I can enjoy my beverages in peace and quiet. Clearly not at your venue. Saturday night was probably the worst night that I ever experienced in terms of hotels and guest houses and I have been to quite a few in my travels. The room was cold and even after setting the thermostat to 30 “HEAT” did the room not heat up. I was also only made aware of electric blankets the following morning, I would have expected same to be fitted to all beds already as we are in the heart of winter. As there’s no phones in the rooms, could not complain at the time and had to ride it out as I was tired and in no state to check out, drive and find alternative accommodation. Breakfast was also not ready by 09H30 on Sunday morning, did not stay and just left feeling ….. I don’t even have the words to describe how I felt.
 
You certainly have a beautiful place, but clearly lacks some hospitality. I feel so sorry for the wedding couple (who planned to have memories of the lifetime), now will constantly be reminded by their guests of their negative experiences.
 I will never go back or even tell someone about groen akker
