It's a great place with pool on the lake, out of town and quite. We really enjoyed our stay for the night and wished we could of stayed longer. Our room and the place is very out of date ..looks tired!  Eg carpets warn ,sofas need recovering ,cable TV very limited.....It's an old TV not flat screen ....place just needs updating ....There is a BBQ and Gazebo down by the lake which is a lovely place to sit and our room had a view of the lake. Although we had a few things to say negatively we had a lovely time and would still return. 

This is a small place in a quiet neighbourhood, with their own little beach. There were kids in the swimming pool but I didn't hear them down at the beach and I fell asleep. Friendly people and dog (Diesel), all welcoming. The room was good enough for us, the bed was too soft for my husband but it was fine for me. The tap/faucet had been added on as reno and was hard to use but, was functional. The little kitchenette was perfect for us as we like to make our breakfast. We will come back.

Good stay

Great place for the value

This is not a "fancy" place but it's a good value for the price. It's situated right on the lake so each morning we sat and ate our breakfast and drank our coffee as we looked out at the lake. Our room had a a kitchenette which was really a hot plate, sink and fridge but the outside patio by the lake was so nice we ate most of our meals out there. We stayed for 4 days, if we were to stay longer I would have gotten one of the bigger rooms but since we spent little time in the room as we were out and about all day anyway this room was fine. The beach was a bit rocky as one person mentioned but this is a beach at a lake not a Mexican resort. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. 

Good Value

Unbelievable!  I booked early June for two nights in September & within 2 hours I cancelled our two rooms.  I contacted Destiny Beach immediately & was assured that I would not be charged the cancellation fee.  Fast forward to Visa statement time, double cancellation fees were billed.  When I called Destiny Beach to discuss the fees, the same whisky voiced concierge who agreed to cancel the fee, stated new owners, new policy - no refund!  She refused to allow me to discuss with the 1 day new owner (yeah right).   Despicable money grab, especially since being given the verbal "no charge" …btw charge was imposed while under “old” owner (yeah right again).  Very unethical....  PS.  I advised I’d be posting their “policy” but they still chose to keep my $100.00.  NOT a pleasure doing business with them.

Unethical

The customer service at this resort was horrendous.  The manager was extremely rude and hostile.  Our family came down with a horrible flu/cold and when we tried to cancel our reservation 2 days prior we we told that Debra the manager is completely unwilling to refund anything not even the original cancellation policy of $50 charge.  Thanks giving weekend and thus is the service you will receive.  We will never recommend or visit this resort again.  Do not regimens this resort to anyone.
