My husband and I stayed overnight (in room 245,) at the Limited Inn Marion on 8/21/2017. 

The negatives:
This motel is an OLD, 2 story building w STEEP stairs to the second (top) floor and NO ELEVATOR. Unfortunately the property looked very run down from the outside. From the street the building looked as if routine maintenance might not have been done in years and it clearly needed to be painted.   The pool had not been usable for quite some time. In our room the furniture, bedspread and curtains were dated. The carpets, at least in our room, needed replacing.  A standard wheelchair could move around our room but anything larger, although it would fit into the room to park, could not fit and thus could not go) between the furniture on the way to the bathroom. Basically the entire building seriously needs a "face lift."

The "positives":
Having said that, the room was clean, it had no bugs, and the sheets were clean. There was a nice flat screen (approx. 32") working TV with remote. In addition there was a working, and relatively new, already COLD, small fridge (it was the larger of the 2 {dorm-}room types having an inside volume of approx. 2 square feet) and there was a newer, working microwave oven. (It seems to me that most of the budget and better hotels have neither a fridge nor the microwave these days and so I was glad to find them here.) The air conditioning worked well.  On the first floor under the stairwell there was an older-but-functional and working, motel ice maker/dispenser and there was an ice bucket in the room. Also, the lobby had fresh coffee and cold cereal from 6am to 9am (included in cost of room).

Overy all we WERE SATISFIED with our stay at the Limited Inn. The location was convenient and about a 5 minute drive to just about any market or store you might want. In addition the Limited Inn was only a 3 minute drive to the onramp for the freeway and yet it was far enough away from it so that we didn't hear the noise. We even found a (dedicated kitchen) Gluten Free "fast food" restaurant (with homemade GF hamburger buns and what seemed to be homemade dark crispy GF fries. It was a better eatery than most within the 5 minute limit! 

In our room, The air conditioning kept us cool on a hot night and we sleep well.  The beds were comfy and there was hot water for our showers. In addition, the lobby had fresh coffee and cold cereal from 6am to 9am (included in cost of room).  For the value, I believe this hotel was priced very well, especially when compared to others of the mid-value, or budget, hotels in town. (I assume the good price was due to the very run down, almost scary(!) outside appearance and perhaps due in part to the condition of the older, but functional, furniture. The staff were friendly, the service was excellent and there were no issues at check-in in our out. The older, day time manager walks slowly and it may take a while for her to get to the front desk so you may need to exercise some patience.

If you are used to higher end hotels, this is not the place for you. If traveling with a mobility challenged person, I would suggest getting a first floor room. However if you are traveling thru Marion and want a place with clean sheets and the above mentioned amenities, you can climb stairs (if only second floor rooms are available,) and don't mind the above mentioned problems, then the Limited Inn is likely a good value for the price. My husband and I both expect that the budget minded traveler will think it's an acceptable place to stay. You might even save a few bucks! We would stay here again if we were given a first floor (because I am both gluten sensitive and mobility challenged.)


GOOD VALE FOR THE PRICE (despite outward appearances)

Its and average  place . Reasonable  rates. Not too good .not to bad. Room is simple and breakfast  area  dont even know  if its their or not. Just check in at night and check out early  .bathroom  need updating  plus lot of other things.

I wouldnt even spend 20 a night here this place needs tore down. I can't beleive state lets them stay open . if u wamt a place to see hookers drugs addicts live in nasty people come here . do not bring your children here .....

Bugs And Terrible

Words can't explain. I don't even know where to begin. Roaches crawling from microwave. Burns in sheets and blankets not to mention we were given 1 bath towel and 1 washcloth for 2 adults and 2 children. 

Just speechless

Terrible place, holes in the walls, holes in the linens. Dirty room and stained carpet. The door jam was broken. Infested with cockroaches and bugs. Unfortunately we didn't think to take pictures of the problems.  Wish we had. This place needs to be condemned! Avoid it!
