it was very bad I really regrated it. most of the facilities mentioned on the add were not available. There was no TV as stated on the add, I even asked the person who met me and gave me the key to give me at least the WFi code he said yes, I will send it to you, then he fly and never turn back, there were no enough plates in the kitchen no spoons no nives, no kettle.

Dar Kenza is set in the middle of the Tunis medina - a cool location if you are okay with walking through winding streets.  The family who runs it was nice, but the beds were lacking top sheets or blankets, the pillows were really hard, the hot water should have worked but didn’t, and breakfast was expensive (5 Euros per person including children) for a fairly minimal selection.

Dar Kenza is in the center of Medina. We were met by the super friendly english speaking hosts on the main road when arriving in the Taxi. The hosts were superior and met all our needs and stayed available for us on WhatsApp the whole stay. There were heaters in the big flat, so we did not have cold winter evenings. The kitchen is big and fully equipped. The local tourist police made sure we had safe walks within the Medina, but we never felt unsecure or uncomfortable walking around. It is possible for a Taxi to drive to Dar Kenza. But it is easier to walk to the main road. We absolutely recommend Dar Kenza because of the hosts, but also the location and the facilities which gives you an authentic local experience. The top balcony has a great view, and you can have your meals there. Super close to ALL attractions in the Medina.

A good experience

I've had the greatest time of my life there. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming; made us feel right at home. We had an amazing stay, the decor was unique and authentic Tunisian. The atmosphere was super warm and lovely. A great disposition, as you find yourself in the heart of the "Medina", which was a really great shopping opportunity since the souks were really close, everything was at the reach of the hand, not to mention the beautiful sites we got to see. The "Zaituna Mosque" is a beautiful place to see at any time of the year!
I would definitely recommend Dar Kenza if you're looking for a great time, and some peace of mind

Spent a great time!!

Very well situated, in the heart of the medina. Clean and corfortable. The kitchen could use a little more ustensils, but it's no problem for a very short stay.

PLUS: It was a good experience. The place is very hard to find, but our taxi driver called the host and the host met us outside the Medina. If you want something different and to have an idea how is the live inside the Medina, in a typical place, this is a good choice. The host was very friendly and was always open to give us some tips about what to do and where to go.

MINUS: Internet connection was poor, payment in cash only (host accepted Euro).
