I had booked and the place is locked and no one answered. Still, I am stuck there. What the heck. I have been calling their phone number again and again and  so far no answer.  I will complain & get my money back.

We spent two nights at Dar El Kobba during our driving trip around southern Tunisia this December.  We had a spacious second floor room that had one large, king-sized bed and one small bed.  The second floor has a large outdoor terrace that overlooks the palmerie.  There is a first floor living room that guests can also use.  We were able to park the car in a space close to the Dar on its quiet street.  There is no off-street parking but everything seems very safe.  If you try to find the Dar using Google maps, it will get you close but then it goes a little haywire in the Medina.  When you first arrive, my advice is to park the car in the main area of town and use the app to walk to the Dar.  Then re-park the car close to the hotel.  The Dar is within easy walking distance to the center of the town, where you can find a market, ATMs, and several rather mediocre restaurants.  Brigitte, the owner of the Dar, and her staff are very welcoming.  Breakfast is a simple meal but with the best coffee we had during our stay in Tunisia.  Brigitte can help make arrangements with a local guide to help you explore the region.  A recommended place to stay in Tozeur.

Charming place to stay in Tozeur

We stayed 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The owner was not there but her staff were very warm and helpful hosts in her absence. This was the nicest property we stayed in in all of Tunisia. Very comfortable, large room with a huge bathroom. There is an upstairs terrace with a nice view of the palmerie across the road. Downstairs the enclosed courtyard has a different charm all its own. We were the only guests so had the living and dining area all to ourselves. All is nicely decorated making for a serene atmosphere. We would definitely stay here again. 

An oasis in the midst of the city

The hotel is very well located. It is part of the old town and has 3 rooms. Each one of them is decorated individually. The dining/ living room is very cosy. The staff was very friendly even though we were not very well organized and made a mistake regarding our reservation. The breakfast was very nice (best orange jam ever) and the homemade dinner traditional tunesien (optional).  For children, there are several games like memory etc. so our daughter felt very comfortable too. We had a great stay, thank you very much again!

Wonderful place right next to the old town

I live and travel extensively in Tunisia and have done for some time. 

I've been to Tozeur three times previously, but this was my first time at the Dar el Kobba. This was a huge mistake. The Dar el Kobba is easily one of the best hotels in the town, the location is perfect, the rooms are great and the host couldn't be improved upon. 

I honestly can't recommend this hotel enough.

Simply awesome

Brigitte is a superb host. My colleague had to make contact with some people in the area for work, and she found us everyone we needed and arranged meetings for us.

The place itself is also excellently comfortable, and the staff is super friendly. Location's great too.

Very Lovely

We loved the look and decor of this Dar.  The location couldn't be faulted.  Across from the palm groves and minutes from the medina.  The host was lovely and very knowledgeable about things to see and do in the area.

warmth and views - a relaxing 'home' on holiday

Dar El Kobba is a proper hidden gem. The house is wonderfully decorated and the rooms are perfect. It was my favourite hotel in a week in Tunisia and I would go back in a heartbeat. It is extremely good value for money. If you are in Tozeur, this is the place to stay.
