Dar Bibine, is an amazing experience.  Gerald, the owner goes out of his way to make you feel at home.  His eye for design is reflected in the decor and food.  The hotel is in a great neighborhood walking to restaurants and local shops.  The artwork on all the walls all over the area are incredible. We will be back, 

Small hotel BIG experience

Dar Bibine is a special oasis for travelers. We only met Gerard, but he also told us many stories about his wife. They have lovingly built the most beautiful little bed and breakfast on Djerba. Each of the five rooms are unique and immaculately decorated. Every morning Gerard oversaw a unique breakfast being prepared for all the guests. He even explained how certain recipes were handed down from his grandmother. And if you're lucky Gerard might share a delicious bottle of Tunisian wine or some spirits after a day of exploring Djerba. You will love every minute at Dar Bibine.

An oasis of style and taste on Djerba

This place is special and unique.  Every part beautifully decorated in a contemporary and original way.  Spotlessly clean, great location in a charming area.
Gerard, the owner, went above and beyond for any assistance we required.
The breakfast was beautifully laid out and delicious.
Our main reason for coming to this village was to see the synagogue but we were delightfully surprised to see the many murals painted on the white washed walls of the houses.
A 2 minute walk  from Dar Bibine is a short main street where you can catch a taxi, go to a bank or have some local food. (Dar Bibine is nestled in the maze of streets and alleys of the village) This is a very friendly island.  This guest house will be one of the highlights of your trip.

The best host ever

I spent four beautiful days at Dar Bibine. The combination between traditional architecture and modern dedicated made this place a little hidden gem in the small village of Erriadh. The host Gerard and his team are so nice and helpful that you feel like at home and comfortable. The morning touch with everyday surprises at breakfast offering a new way to cook eggs make the morning a real excitement. Gerard like other foreigners who decided to stay in Djerba is contributing to the preservation of the national patrimony and it wa a pleasure to be there. Definitely I will go back and will recommend it

When tradition meets modern design 

This is a true gem at the heart of the village. Gerard, the owner, is terrific: full of good will, a professional, and his love for the place shows in everything: the superb breakfasts, the library and CD collection, the attention to small and big details alike, the beautiful aesthetics, the honesty bar, the wonderful small pool, the way Gerard is immersed in the local community. Highly recommended. We stayed 3 nights and then decided to check also Dar Dhiafa for 1 night, and we regretted. Dar Bibin is bay far more pleasant and interesting and rewarding.

A Gem not to be missed

We were there for 3 days, the place is in a quite good area, beautiful house, decorated in a refined way, very clean and cosy. we recommend the house for a stay in couple or even in group. The breakfast is amazing and Gerard is a super host!! We definitely plan to return next summer. 
There would have been a higher note than 5 stars I would certainly have put it! Think to borrow bikes and take a stroll through the island. 

Great host and wonderful house

Is there a rating of 10? If so, Dar Bibine deserves it. Our host was gracious and welcoming, full of delightful surprises during our 3-day stay. It is clear that our host, a retired architect from Belgium, is fulfilling his dream and enjoying life to the fullest. Every room in this traditional house is different, with added interest and modern design accents. Breakfast every day is different, with delicious surprises. It is worth flying to Djerba just to stay here. The evening fire, the music, the available books and references in several languages and the conversations offer a feeling of visiting friends. Loved it!

Superb in every way!

The property is stylish and spotless. And even better, the host was the kindest we met in North Africa. It's difficult to know where to start. The property is fascinating. You can climb up to the roof (with steps), for views of the village; there are deck chairs and even a sauna/ hammam up at the top. The rooms are each designed with their own quirky decorations. The breakfast; oh, the breakfast! French toast like you've never tasted; straight from Gerard's grandmother's recipes. Every morning Gerard prepares a new dish. The amenities and design of the place drew us in. But I think Gerard's hospitality would bring us back. He went out of his way to make us feel at home. We even drank some Bukha with him! And when we left, he threw water behind our car for good luck, as if we knew each other for ages. He was truly a special host, and I highly recommend staying at Dar Bibine if in Djerba.
