Stayed for 3 night at Mary's Country Lodge B&B. Located conveniently on the N59, within walking distance of Clifden center (restaurants & pub) and only a short driving distance to the Connemara National Park, Letterfrack and the Killary Fjord. The rooms are clean and without frills. More than enough parking space available. 
A tip: for breakfast... learn the lyrics of "fields of athenry' by heart...

My husband and I stayed two night (or had two nights if you say it in the dialect:) in late November 2017. Mary took our booking even though she was technically closed for the season; we are so glad she did. The room and bathroom was much larger than the other rooms we had stayed in while in Ireland. The bed was very comfortable with extra pillows and a blanket in the cupboard. We slept with the window lightly opened and I awoke to church bells both mornings, best night sleep I had while in Ireland (maybe since:) Breakfast was great, we had the full Irish one day and Salmon and Eggs the second. As for sight seeing, we had guidebooks and  done our homework but as Mary is a native of the area she was more than happy to "give us the tour" after breakfast both days she greeted us as we were about to leave with a list of things to see, how to get there as to not double back or waist or time, Not brochure but hand written destinations (one days list was on the back of a mailing envelope, I still have and will always treasure that envelope. It was so personal and like a family member would give you) Everything was just what we hoped the Real Ireland would be like.  The authentic instruments and ancient  songs she played were lovely and she played just for the two of us; even invited us to sing with her to "Oh Danny Boy" that was a treat for me as our voices in harmony were a great match. When we left we hugged like she was an Auntie and we wished we had more time.The entire visit was just wonderful! These memories will last a life time. Thank you Mary.

Four of us stayed here for a night last week. Recommended by another B&B downtown. Great place, quiet, friendly staff, and Mary even entertains at breakfast.

Mary and staff were very helpful in providing advice on where to go and what to do in the area.

Four of us (2 couples) arrived st the Connemara Lodge after a fun day of sight-seeing on our way from Sligo. Mary greeted us and made us all feel right at home. With Mary's great sense of humor, she "pranked" me just like a good friend would do. At breakfast the next morning, she played the violin and sang for all of her guests - great musician and a beautiful voice. Don't miss staying st the Connemara Country Lodge.

Mary, Stephanie, and all the staff made our visit wonderful. Breakfasts were awesome; we loved the home cooked meals and thoroughly enjoyed the singing and musical entertainment. Room was great, clean, and fresh towels daily. Easy, quick stroll to town for meals, shopping, churches, and bike shop. Mary provided lots of recommendations on places to visit and interesting things to do.  Terrific holiday. Look forward to returning.
