Very good
300 reviewsThis is a modern building where half of the building are condos and half (10th floor and above) are rentals. After you make your reservation and arrive there, there will be a security guard 24 hours a day that will give you the key (if after hours) or direct you to the 8th floor to get checked in. The apartments are nice and clean, the bed ample and it has a noisy (while cooling, then silent), but quite good AC (most places in Argentina have individual AC units, not central air). They have a multiple outlet extension cords where you can plug your cell phone (240 volts in Argentina, buy a connector in mini mall described below) In addition to a nice pool, they also have token operated laundry (50 ARP per token or 83 cents, the security guard sells them. Buy soap across the street in the Express Carrefour) on the 14th floor. One token gives 30 min wash and another 1h drier. If you want to travel light, a laundry room is your ticket! More suitcase space for goodies like cheese, wine, olive oil, etc.The WIFi is individualized to each room and works very well (our rooms were 1008 and 1208 rooms). Now the best part: Location!. You will be 2 blocks from Santa Fe Avenue (lots of good shopping) and walking distance to many, many delicious restaurants. Specially, my second home, Quotidiano Pasta Bar (not a Bar, just an outstanding Italian restaurant. See separate review) at 100 feet from the apart-o-hotel. Buenos Aires (BA) is an old fashioned city without the big box stores and few malls. No chinese stuff sold here. I saw only two McDonalds in my long trip in the bus (easy to get around, buy the SUBE Card, then use Google Maps). It is like living in the 50's in any city in Europe. I needed to fix a shoe, I got a shoe repair man walking to Santa Fe Av. from hotel, turn right till you see a mini mall corridor. There you find small merchants, even a sex shop (for the perverts). You can have breakfast at Quebec Bakery (a block before Santa Fe on Callao. Good Panettone or Pan Dulce), in Quotidiano, or in La Tienda de Cafe on Santa Fe and Callao. Separate reviews for these two places. Overall, we loved this place! Hasta la vista, BA!
