Columbine Cabins

The cabin was cozy and efficient. It rained constantly so scenery was foggy and cloudy but Grand Lake was charming and the mountains over lakes were breathtaking.

Amazing host and well kept property. Thank you

Very cozy! Near the Lakes! Large refrigerator and full kitchen. This is my second time here and I hope to return next year or two.

Lady owner was very cool gal..Knowledgeable of where to go eat etcEasy to get to and nice place to stay

Gail was fantastic and very thorough. Perfect for our (2) night stay

The manager was very nice. She showed us our cabin and told us the rules. The cabin was very clean. The whole place was beautiful. We had a great time.

Gayle made everything so easy. The upper suite was super spacious. Cant wait to come and stay again!

Great place, nice host, bathroom was tiny but nice rustic little cabin

Fantastic owners and they take pride in their business and it shows. Cabins are older, have plenty of charm and are CLEAN and comfortable. Will stay Again.

Close to town for breakfast and dinner. Market next door. Everything is in walking distance 5 minutes. Nicely decorated with a theme. Place had refrigerator, stove, microwave and dining room table. Bathroom is ultra small which worked for us, however a large person or someone on crutches would struggle in this tiny bathroom . Overall, nice comfortable stay.

This was a quaint little cabin. The owner Gail was very nice and full of information. It's an older resort, but It was very clean and comfortable. Easy walk to the town and very close to the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park. We did take advantage of the hot tub, which was great after a long day of hiking. It does not have air conditioning, but we didn't need it. I love Gails instruction on air conditioning, "feel free to open the windows and use the fans". They are open all year for winter sports. If we ever go back we would stay there.

This property is the best! Our stay was delightful from start to finish. Our host: Gayle is polite and helpful but not too intrusive. We had peaceful nights by the fire on the wooden swing making s’mores and days on the lake, with the ability to grab groceries from the market close by, and pizza in town to eat back at the cabin. All with our dog! Couldn’t have asked for a lovelier Labor Day!

Columbine Cabins is a wonderful retreat for my husband and I. 6 years ago, we happened upon it and fell in love with the quaintness and simplicity of it. The bathroom is small, but having a large living space and kitchen makes up for it. It includes all the comforts of home. It is close to downtown, so it's a quick drive or even walk. Gayle is amazing! I had a special request to surprise my husband with for our anniversary and she went above and beyond. The hospitality and personal touch are like nothing I've ever seen. We can't wait to go back again!

The hostess was so kind and welcoming. Gave great food recommendations and was very helpful and knowledgeable. The cabin definitely had a rustic feel, but it was very clean and well maintained. We loved the location and how walkable the area was. Hot tub was warm and clean and the shower had incredible water pressure. About a 5 min drive to Rocky Mountain National Park and the lake was a stones throw away. All in all, I would highly recommend staying here to any family looking for a budget friendly option in Grand Lake.

Will come back!

Like a step back into the 50’s-60’s, these cabins are all themed and a comfortable place to land. The property manager was very helpful and friendly. We had an extended stay because this was a great central point for all our activities. You are literally minutes away from Rocky Mountain National Park. Grand Lake both the town and lake are wonderful and relaxing. Thank you Columbine Cabins for a being our home away from home.

Our cabin was clean, quiet, convenient, and we had all we needed for the stay. Gail was super nice---explained everything. A couple of suggestions....it'd be nice to have electrical outlets in the bedroom (a lamp for bedtime reading) and some extra towels (it was rainy so we had to use a few for wet dog/dirty shoe duty). We loved our cabin!

Grand Lake fun!

It was my wife’s 50th Bday and we stayed 3 nights at Columbine Cabins. We had an excellent time. Gail was fantastic giving us all the details at check in. We had a fire one night that opened the door for other guests to come out and socialize. Grilled steaks on the complimentary grills another night. Our cabin (the Bear) was very quiet and we got excellent rest. It was a short walk to the main strip and to the lake. Would definitely recommend a stay!

Fantastic 3 Nights

We enjoyed our stay at Columbine Cabins. The cabin was clean, cozy and everything was in good working condition. My only complaint is the tiny bathroom. The sink is literally above you while you sit on the toilet and you have to go in and out of it sideways as the door bumps into the bed (tight quarters). The hosts were great and invested in the property. Loved the campfire area with wood included and the hot tub! Would stay again for future trips.

Cozy and Clean Cabins

We had a wonderful stay at the cabins!! You will find everything you need in the cabins. We stayed in Bear Cabin, and it was perfect! Gail greeted us and was available for anything we needed! We used the fire pit, and the hot tub after a long day of hiking. Within walking distance to all downtown. Perfect location. We will definitly stay here again. Loved Grand Lake!!!
