Colonna Palace

Not too sure what I expected when booking this hotel, it was cheap in comparison to others. The hotel is spotless. The staff are very polite and could not do enough for us, the lady behind the bar was ultra helpful and could not do more. She carries drinks to the rooftop pool, and makes it a nice experience. Regards to the ‘pool’ it’s basically somewhere to sit and soak your feet. It’s very shallow and probably the only thing I would say could be improved. There was bird muck around the edge that could have done with cleaning off, and the pool is a little dated and showing signs of its age. But this is Italy and to get a hotel with a rooftop area to enjoy the sun, is rare. The rooms were amazing, clean, fresh and beds made with clean towels daily. And let me assure you, if there had been any complaints I would happily mention them. The location is perfect for everything. Central to almost every place you will visit. 20 mins walk to Colossium 20 mins to Vatican Ten seconds to high street 5 mins from Trevy fountain AND as it’s directly opposite the main parliament building, there are police everywhere. So safety is well covered. I would recommend this hotel.
