The hotel was so nice and the staff were so kind. It was super clean and we loved the maid’s daily creations. The food was great! The horse stables across the road was an added bonus. We were a family of 4 and had a room with two bedrooms. We will come back!

Thank you for nice holiday, we enjoyed our stay here. Nice and clean room, polite and friendly staff, good food especially desserts. The animators were the best. We were never bored. Special thanks to Jassim, we really enjoyed the aquagym and step aerobic, it was great fun!

I generally agree with possitive comments mentioned below related to well run hotel so that I am providing feedback from a family point of view. Good location (max. 40 min from the airport, easy drive), really clean, safe and quiet hotel, children friendly staff, balcons designed the way kids can not climb on. There is a wide range of not spicy food, mostly cooked, usual stuff (spagetti, rice, pancakes) always available, microwave, fruit/veggie. 24/7 bar with bottled water. There is also a supermarket (5 min walking) with fix prices where you can get kid´s stuff if needed incl. kids food and drugg store. Pools were not the cleanest at the end of our stay but so so during a week. Water slides good for smaller children also. In September no fight for sunchairs. Animators in action during all day and mini disco in the evening (20:30-21:00) next to the Relax pool. Kid´s playground close to the Relax Pool for evening activity (not covered against the sun). Camel/horse rides on the beach. Great gradual access to the ocean, almost no waves. Beaches aren´t the greatest and the cleanest but if you spend most of the time at pool, then OK. Otherwise hotel beach OK, unfortunatelly it is connected to a public part of the beach which is not kept clean (crossing from hotel beach to the ocean). Hotel surroundings is well maintained and kept clean. Hotel cats in the garden:-). We had a nice holiday here. Good value for your money.
Personal recommendation for families: thermosks for kids and yourself for keeping drinks cold, electric device due to mosquitos for a night (can be bought at place), classic tea spoon (no available there), tea for kids
What you need to count on - no ice cream! Liquid form of some ice cream available only at lunchtime buffet, no possibility to buy any.

Highly recommended hotel, clean and spacious. The food is good, everyone will find something for themselves. Professional service in the restaurant and bar. Animations at the highest level. The best animator Mourad who was sympathetic and very helpful. Beach and water so wonderful that you can stare at it for hours. I recommend !

i had a great time in Calimera. Special thanks for animation team for the best time, best show and the best attractions of the day. We felt like family there! All of them are wonderful but our best was Adem - he is always smiling, so kind, helpful and funny. We hope to back to Calimera soon!

A vaction in calimera

Not too Bad, Not too good. Very average Hotel/Club. Good for kids and families on an all inclusive basis. Access to the beach ⛱️,  two huge  pools, one with toboggan. Rooms are small but very correct ! Tennis courts, amphitheater, mini disco for kids, volleyball, indoor and outdoor sitting areas. 
Staff are doing their best to help and support and offer good service. 

Not too good, Not too bad !

I write this review to WARN you. Especially tourists from POLAND. I've just came back from this hotel, and it was the most humiliating experience I have ever had on holidays. 

1. I paid extra to get the room with the sea view. They gave me the room with the view on other building and pool - as you can see on the attached photo. It took me 2 days of discussions, fighting and listening to their lies (it is a sea view room, we don't have other sea view rooms, every sea view room is the same), to finally get moved to proper sea view room - you can see that on the second picture. You can see the difference, right?  Thank you, Calimera. For these 2 days of stress, fighting and living on the bags. This is your motto "Have a nice day" in real life.

2. The last day. We had departure from hotel at 23.00. But the cleaning personel started to knock to our rooms at 9.00 - telling us we need to leave our rooms. Then after 10.00 they TURNED OFF the light and electricity in our rooms - so we could even charge our phones... And at 12.00, when we were giving back the cards to our rooms, it tourned out we have to pay 32 euro per room. For what? Not to keep the room untili 23.00. No! Just to be allowed to stay at the hotel. Even if you wanted to give them back the "all inclusive" band and go to the city - just asking them to leave the bags in the reception till the transfer - they said NO. Do you get it? They didn't even let us leave our bags in the hotel without paying 32 euro. We felt like a stray dogs, kicked out of the gate. It was SO humiliating and stresful... Some people didn't had money to pay at the last day, so the personel were chasing them over all hotel shouting "Get out!". Outrageous. I can't imagine them doing the same for people from Germany or France.

I mean, the hotel overall isn't that bad. It has nice beach and quite good food, nothing really special - but it's OK. BUT the way they treat turists, especially from Poland, is simply unacceptable. I just can't give higher rite, because the aftertaste I have after coming back is terrible. No one warned me about that, so I'm warning you guys. If you would like to feel like a guest on your holidays, and relax without unnecesarry stress - maybe try to look for other hotel on Djerba.
