We’ve visited Alma many times over the years.  Stayed at the hotel, Airbnb’s, motels and we’ve camped.  We loved our stay here…loved, loved, loved!  Came home and rebooked for the fall before they were fully booked.  We stayed in the harbour view suite.  Everything we needed!  Full kitchen.  Comfy bed.  Very quite.  We walked to Alma, 15 minutes tops.  Fabulous views!  Did not disappoint.

The only complaint I have is that we had to leave....we stayed at the Herring cove suite for our wedding anniversary. We had everything we needed...we are talking about coming down every year now. The views are unbelievable. Amazing to sit on the deck or lawn chairs to watch the coming in and out....

The Matthews Head suite met our expectations in every respect. Total relaxation, with an expansive view of the ebb and flow of the famous Fundy tides. Although the weather left a bit to be desired, it was a delightful getaway, with every amenity you could desire. We'll be back!

Wonderful place! The only downside is that I didn’t even get to see the owners because their COVID safety procedures and check in/out ran so smoothly  that everything was purely contactless. The room was very clean and the kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need. 
Would definitely stay here again.

Our accommodation was lovely..Well outfitted..
Great deck with retractable awning...Perfect..
The view was not the best..Could not see much of the water...We were free to walk the property & sit in the chairs out on the grass... other suites on the property, had views of Alma..
We were off by ourselves..so again..perfectly fine...
Only complaint..
Think the Queen mattress has been well used..Is becoming a hammock..
Made for a little discomfort..especially since we are used to a King...
Other than that..great hosts & very inviting place to hang out..

We booked for one night,  but once we arrived, wished we had booked for more. The room was amazing.  Clean, and comfortable. The view overlooking the bay is awesome... so close to everything. 
We can't wait to come back!

Superb setting, accommodation and hosts make this a perfect place to stay. Suites have everything you want, beautiful setting close to an array of wonderful food opportunities and activities. Sad not to be staying longer.

Heavenly, beautiful accommodations.A lovely getaway. Loved the view from the room and the friendly hosts. We ate our meals outside overlooking the bay and the city. Highly recommended. Clean and well-stocked with everything you need, nice kitchen.

We stayed in the Mathews Head Suite. It was everything we imagined. The room was cl    ean and the property was immaculate. Thé view from the huge windows is amazing. There is a lovely deck with a bbq also.  Watching the lobster boats and tides coming into and out of the bay was something to behold. We would highly recommend this suite       

This is an upscale unit!  Ample cooking supplies including coffee, sugar and coffee creamers in the fridge.  Ice maker in the fridge freezer.  All appliances like new and a step up from average models.  Same with the furnishings and bathroom fixtures.  The entrance is shaded in the morning with afternoon sun, but the retractable awning makes sitting out easy.  Owners are very, very responsive, so you can expect to be well taken care of.  Also, this is very reasonably priced and competitive with other local options.

This is also a good unit if you have any mobility issues since everything is on the level; the only concern might be the walk in shower, which doesn't have handrails.

The only other areas (in the unit) that you may want to factor in:
* no hair dryer, so bring one if you need one
* in floor heating, no air conditioner.  The back of the unit got quite warm, so we shut off the heat, which made all the difference.
* no alarm clock but not an issue if you have one on your phone
* if you're bikers, this may not be the best location since it's at the top of a really steep hill.  It's a long walk and I doubt most could pedal to the top!

Amazing Place

Fundy Mist suite good if you have a mobility issue

My husband and I stayed in the Matthew's Head suite for two wonderfully comfortable nights. We watched the tides cycle,the fog roll in, and the lobster fishermen boats gather in the moonlight, all from the panoramic windows. The view seemed to change every hour! If you must leave the room, we recommend the Octopus Garden Cafe for lunch, and the Dickson Falls Trail for a beautiful short hike.

Perfect!

I agree with all assessments done before me.  Just got back from 3 days at this delightful, well run, beautiful property.  The accommodations were perfect...not a thing out of order and everything was beautiful.  Take a hike in Fundy, make tea and put your feet up, read a book and enjoy this perfectly appointed and affordable place.

Give yourself a treat

This was our first trip to the area, and I must say its amazing! Cliffside is a fantastic location and the views of the bay and small town at any time of day are great. (The night skies are great too!) Our room had a view of both the Bay and the town. The room was large, a great bed, with a small kitchen, eating area, sofa and TV, and a full 4 pc bath. If you are looking peace and quiet with a lot of outdoor activity near by, then please, don't miss this gem! Ken and Laurette make you feel like you are home!

A slice of heaven

We chose this place because of reviews in tripadvisor.  We loved it!  First off, there are not many suites here so it is quiet and the views are spectacular.  We stayed in the Matthew's Head suite (named after a hiking trail in nearby Fundy National Park) and enjoyed how spacious it was and how isolated you are from the hustle and bustle of the town of Alma.  Our room was spotless and our hosts were excellent.  

Highly Recommended!
