Second stay at Les Fleurons and the experience was amazing once again. The house is an absolute jem, right between the chateau and the Loire. This time we stayed in the "king's room" which has two windows overlooking the river and a lovely bathtub. The bed was so comfy, I wish I could have the same one at home. The hosts were extremely friendly and full of great advice about what to do and where to go. Thank you so much, what a beautiful house and great stay !

My family and I stayed in the most comfortable 2 BR 2 BA apartment that is part of Les Fleurons. I logged many hours searching for the perfect place to stay in Amboise and I found it!  I am a self proclaimed picky traveler when it comes to accommodations and was blown away with the size, comfort of bed and bathrooms, and the well stocked kitchen. The basket of fresh pastries each morning didn't hurt. ;) 

I highly recommend arranging transportation through your host to and from the Amboise Train Station prior to arriving. Taxis are hard to come by without reservations. The walk can be challenging if you are traveling with rolling luggage, stroller, wheelchair, older individuals and if there is rain. My 72 year old Mom was with us and struggled with the walk + luggage. Fortunately our host graciously arranged transportation back to the Train Station when we woke up to find it was raining on departure day. 

Enjoy your stay at Les Fleurons and Amboise! The most quaint and pleasant French Town!

What a lovely place. Superb location , we had a room overlooking the river, with the Château directly behind us.Perfect.  The accommodation is immaculate! Clean , tidy , fresh sheets , very high end with a really professional, warm and friendly welcome. Could not recommend enough. Tim even offered to book any restaurants or offer advice.The only concern before we arrived was parking , as it’s in the centre of the town , but there are plenty of free spaces even during the day .

We stayed 3 nights at Les Fleurons and enjoyed our stay very much.  Tim and Carolyn are wonderful hosts.  The continental breakfast was really enjoyed every day.  Fresh croissants, spreads, cheese, cereal, fruit and soft boiled eggs cooked to order.  Tim was especially helpful with tourist ideas and even followed up on a balloon ride we booked that they had recommended, getting back to us to tell us of weather concerns, and time changes.  In addition, because of previous reviews, we asked Tim to please make dinner reservations for us since we were clueless where to go.  Each of his selections were amazing!  All wonderful choices, ambiance, quality of food superb, etc.  Both Carolyn and Tim were extremely helpful and accommodating (they were even going to save us some breakfast one morning when we made plans to go out early morning).  Would highly recommend.  Note:  There is no AC at the B&B, so if this the weather is hot and this is an issue for you, I would probably recommend staying elsewhere.

We spent 2 nights here and loved it. Tim and Carolyn are wonderful hosts, their house is full of history yet so comfortable, and the breakfasts were delicious. It's a 2 minute walk to everything you need, and it's a great location for exploring the chateaux and the beautiful Loire River. Stay here, you will love it.

Where to start with this property.  First, the owners.  Tim and Carolyn -- so pleasant and helpful.  And Carolyn baked some real treats for breakfast each day. We could not have been more pleased with the breakfast offering and met some other really interesting people that were also staying there.  There are only 4 rooms.  The B&B is located right next to the chateau and we could look at it out our bedroom window.  On the other side of the house is the Loire River.  A short walk away is the main drag in Amboise where most of the restaurants are located.  We were able to find parking right in front of the house a couple of times.  Another time we found parking at the public parking across the street.  From our location in town we walked to the Chateau Royal d’Amboise,  the Le Clos Luce where Leonardo da Vinci lived at the end of his life, and Chateau Gaillard, which was built in 1496.  It is a great B&B in a great little town. There is no TV, and we didn't miss it a bit.  The wifi is good but not the best we have ever encountered.  No A/C, but we were able to survive a record-breaking heat wave in Europe by keeping the blinds closed and the owners put a couple of fans in our room.

We stayed here for a week to explore Amboise. The kitchen, living area, and 2 bedroom plus 2 bath apartment was well appointed. Not lavish, but clean and we had everything we needed. There was a complimentary bottle of champagne for us on arrival, and a few staples like butter, coffee, etc in the refrigerator. We ordered the breakfast, which doesn't come included with this property, and it was always bread and croissants with some cheeses and jelly. 
It was very hot when we were in France, and there was no ac, but there were fans in every room. Keeping the windows covered during the day really helped keep the temperature down. This apartment was on a street between the Amboise Chateau and the Loire, just a 2 minute walk from the center of downtown. It was extremely convenient for exploring. Amboise was a very safe place to wander. Nights could be a bit loud at time if the windows were open, but most times it was quiet. I would return here.

We stayed here for 3 days just enough.Happy accommodating hosts good local recommendations.Would return in a heart beat.Clean comfy but they do need a shower for oldies the bath is tricky.Breakfast was enough to satisfy , fresh very nice.Good linen and towels very lovely residence in enviable spot next to the chateaux.

It's hard for me to believe the number of people who give this B&B a 5-star rating.  There is nothing terribly wrong with the B&B but there's nothing outstanding either.  It's just .... average, in my experience, for a B&B in its price range.  The location is outstanding, with 3 chateaux in easy walking distance.  The hosts are friendly.  The breakfast is at the low end of acceptable.  The room we stayed in had what was called an "adjoining private sitting area".  What they don't say in the listing is that the sitting room is connected to the bedroom via a 2nd floor catwalk over the building entrance.  If you want a convenient place to stay in Amboise, Les Fleurons will do fine.  Just don't go expecting a 5-star experience.
