Chambres d'hôtes le Clos du mas de bastide

Four nights and we wished it could have been much longer. We couldn't have been more pleased. The accommodations were extraordinarily nice - spacious, comfortable with high-quality linens and attention to detail. Sophie and Jean Paul welcomed us and made us feel as if we were home. The breakfasts were served on a terrace overlooking the surrounding quiet valley and offered a terrific selection of bread, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, eggs, and the list goes on. All served on fine china and linens. The grounds were also impeccably maintained with private entrances for each of the rooms that allowed for privacy but also direct access to the common areas with gardens and a swimming pool. If you are a hiker, the location of this 300 year old Bastide offers a terrific starting point for hikes through the countryside, for the oenophile this is a central location to explore the surrounding vineyards, and it provides easy access to some of the most charming, nearby villages. If you are in the Lot, this is a must-stay! We will definitely return when our travels take us to the region again.
