Chambre d'Hotes & Gite Moulin de Fontalbe

What a wonderful B&B. Dominque and Wout are a French/Dutch married couple who bought a Mill (Moulin) in the Dordogne several years ago for their retirement. They have only one room (Chambre d'Hote) available for rent at this time, but Wout is working on renovating his Mill to make it a Gite' (a full sevice Apartment). Both speak excellent English, they are very knowledgeable regarding the area and they were most gracious in welcoming us to an area we had never visited. The Breakfast here were excellent - not just coffee and a croissant, but a full Dutch Breakfast with eggs, ham, cheese, baguettes, sweets, jams & more. We had dinner with Dominique and Wout one evening and the meal was as good as any restaurant we ate in during our entire 4 week vacation. Dominique is a wonderful cook and she is considering offering cooking lessons. (As soon as she does, we are coming back - her Magret de Canard was lucious!) We would difinately recommend this B&B and hope to return the next time we visit France. Note: A car is necessary for this B&B as it is located between Saint-Avit-Senieur and Beaumont du Perigord. It was a bit difficult to find when we first arrived, but when we called, Wout drove to meet us at Saint-Avit-Senieur and we followed him to the B&B. Dominique and Wout are very gracious hosts
