I stayed at the vert during September this year and it was great.
The beds were super comfy, rooms are small but nice, prices are cheap and the staff was super friendly.
I had a friend who arrived late and had no booking and even though there were no rooms available he managed to find here a place to stay.
Highly recommended.
The only downside is that the hotel is pretty far from Chamonix city center (20-25 min walk) but there is a bus station nearby and bus rides are free with the traveler card you can get the the hotel reception.

We stayed here last summer and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is the place to choose. Across from the chalet is a beautiful walkway to town, surrounded by the forest. As you walk along the icy river - the steam off the glacier waters glows and is absolutely enchanting. One of my most memorable experiences was the walk to town in the morning and the walk back late in the evening. (We never used our car while in Chamonix.) The chalet is very nice. And David is a charming and considerate host. Breakfasts were delicious. And the rooms were perfect. Beautiful bath and tub and tile work. Attention to detail. Large sitting room with huge windows. This is the real thing if you want a "chalet in the alps" experience. Thank you, David.

David and Jackie are the cool Aunt/Uncle you never had, not just because of their chalet in the French alps, but more importantly because of their vibrant friendliness, which makes you feel instantly at home and part of their extended family (but YES, it's because of their Chalet).
Vert et Blanc was recommended from a friend, of which I am forever grateful, and hope to return the favor with similar recommendations to my friends and family.  Arguably, American’s aren’t really used to the concept of a chalet, preferring to usually rent an apartment or stay in a big ski lodge, but the Chalet concept should not be overlooked.
Some liken a Chalet to a Bed and Breakfast, the Chalet is superior, it is a B&B...PLUS dinner & round-trip shuttle to ski lifts, etc.  Might I add the meals are cooked by a gourmet chef?
Personally, we hope to go back for future vacations.
Winter holiday or (I assume it would be a blast) for a summer adventure  – I fully recommend Vert et Blanc’s warm and friendly atmosphere – thank you David, Jackie and staff!

Our family had an excellent week in chalet vert et blanc over christmas. Beautiful chalet, perfect location but the staff really made it. James the chef made fantastic food and Nick and Sara were wonderfully attentive and helpful. Highly recommended!

Wonderful stay at Chamonix at this rustic chalet.  Coming from the US, the catered term is very foreign to us at ski resort.  Basically, the hosts takes care all of the food for 6 of the 7 days.  Food is on par with any 5 star restaurant in Chamonix.  Nick and Sarah handle the day to day operations of the chalet, including cleaning, shuttling to/from mountains, food service, etc.  They were top notch and completely made our trip.  David handles all of the other biz part of the stay, lift tickets, organizing day trips, massages, etc.  Basically he will be your concierge for the week.  The chalet is quite large so we met some wonderful people.  The rooms are small and en-suite bathrooms are very small.  beds are very soft.  15 Minute walk to Chamonix Center.  Get the Mont Blanc ski pass and go to Courmayeur for a day trip.  This was our second stay at this chalet.
