Ellaidhoo Maldives By Cinnamon Hotel 

We have just returned from a wonderful 10-day stay at Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon. We travelled as a family of four and had an absolutely amazing time. Ellaidhoo is a small, beautiful, barefoot island that you can easily walk around. After just a few days, it already starts to feel familiar and almost like home. The turquoise water and beaches are exactly what you imagine when you think of the Maldives, but for us the real highlight was definitely the underwater world. The house reef is fantastic. We saw an incredible variety of colourful tropical fish, rays, reef sharks, octopuses and many other sea creatures. You don't need to go on a special excursion to experience it – there is so much to see just around the island. We also really enjoyed visiting a nearby local island. It was very interesting to see a completely different side of the Maldives and get a small glimpse into the everyday life of the local people. We are very happy that we included this trip in our holiday. The staff were absolutely wonderful. Everyone was incredibly friendly, smiling and helpful. They took the time to talk to us, ask how we were doing and joke with our children. Their warmth and kindness really added something special to our stay. We also really enjoyed the food. There was always plenty to choose from, so everyone in the family could find something they liked. And Ellaidhoo is definitely not only about snorkelling and diving. There is plenty to do on the island: a gym, squash court, table tennis, table football, billiards, darts, tennis, badminton, spa and massages, a diving centre and even a kitchen garden that you can walk around. There are also organised boat trips to various destinations and some kind of music or entertainment almost every evening. We came home with so many wonderful memories, and we are sure we will be talking about this holiday for a very long time. If you are thinking about visiting the Maldives, our advice is simple: go! ❤️🌴
