Cerro da Borrega

This is a great location (about 2 and 1/2 driving hours south of Lisbon) to have a great holliday experience, in quiet countryside surroundings. It is a great place to explore the Costa Vicentina, with it's 110km of beautiful preserved beaches. The property is located in the countryside, and a B & B, so you will need a car. Parking is free. We felt most welcomed by Rita, the owner and manager of the property, who showed us around, explained her project to us, and gave great advice on where to eat and how to explore the coast. She is an associate with the ´Rota Vicentina', an organization that edits charts and guides to support walking or BTT hikers in locating and exploring several coastal and inner trails. Cerro da Borrega is a true boutique B & B, with a well taken care of home and surroundings. The house is recently built, using local traditional techniques (a must for architects and civil engineers). Interiors are peaceful, very comfortable, decorated with excellent taste and attention in every detail. Children are not allowed. Rooms are comfortable, spacious, clean, well heated. There is no air conditioning. Rooms have no mini bar. Bathroom was stylish, with heated floor and towel racks. Very good breakfast (continental). Wifi is free. This was a wonderful experience. We arrived as guests and left as friends. And will certainly return.
