Stayed here a couple of nights and found it to be a good but fairly sterile option. The hotel is in the centre  a few minutes walk from main square, sights etc. Checkin was fast and room was large with very comfortable bed. I found the hotel pretty dead and  reception barely even acknowledged you coming in/ out all a bit sterile but a good central option

Good option

I only stayed a single night in Cayenne and this hotel was good enough. It depends on what you want. The man at reception spoke reasonable English and was quite charming. The lobby had comfortable seating and a bar that oddly had no wine but had very well priced spirits. The hallway to my room looked very institutional but the room itself was fine. It was on the small side but adequate with a very comfortable queen size bed. The A/C worked well even in the steamy Cayenne climate and there was a fridge and kettle. The bathroom was pretty standard with good water pressure. There was a small balcony that was a bit crowded with a big air conditional compressor but still had room to sit watching the street life.  The street was closed up for the night but a bit noisy with roaming traffic. Anyone who doesn’t like a bit of street noise should ask for a room at the back. A good breakfast including excellent fresh croissants was included with the tariff. I would be quite happy to return to the Central Hotel if back in Cayenne.  


Good Enough

You are within waking distance of the center of town, and many restaurants and shops of many kinds are nearby.  The amenities  of the hotel are bare, but you really don't need extras with so many businesses so nearby.

Best Location

Stayed for one night as part of tour with KE Adventure UK and local agent Wilderness Explorers.  Having been travelling since 7.30 a.m. and arriving at this hotel 6 p.m. just wanted to eat, shower, and sleep BUT was told by guide this alleged hotel did not have a restaurant ! Asked receptionist about a snack bar which was just next door and so I ordered omelette and beer to take-away.  After eating, started to unpack a few things and opened the wardrobe door to be hit by a strong smell and see SEVERE damp with mould on the walls.  Very unhealthy.  This was Room 108.  The room was generally very drab and tatty 1960s and although a kettle was provided there was no milk for the tea.  Breakfast in the Breakfast Room but limited choice for a vegetarian.

Hotels have a restaurant but this one does NOT so just a B & B

positive:
- centrally located - only 3 minutes to the Palmistes
- breakfast was ok, but no eggs to order

negative:
- free wifi, working ok - but only for 2 devices
- outworn rooms
- only one slowly moving elevator

centrally located, but overpriced

I have three primary requirements for a hotel: clean, quiet, comfortable. 
The Central Hotel has them all. 
Also: a great location - everything is a short walk away - and very friendly helpful staff. 
Next time I’m in Cayenne, I won’t have to do any research for my hotel - just book this one. 

We received a friendly welcome. The room was comfortable and clean room with a good shower cubicle and there was plenty of storage for clothes. The hotel is in the centre of town and close to bars, restaurants and tourist sights.

The breakfast selection was uninspiring but adequate. Tea and coffee were available in the room but only a small espresso cup was provided so it was impractical.

Nice hotel in centre of town

Basic 3 star hotel with breakfast. The WiFi is spotty depending on your location. Reception employees speak French, English and Spanish. They were quite helpful. Cable tv in the room but all channels are French language. Room was clean and quiet. Good air conditioning system. Be aware a taxi from the airport to the hotel is 45 Euros one way. 

Center of town

Hotel centrally located but Cayenne so small nearly every spot is close to centre. Rooms nice enough. I didn't choose breakfast option which I was happy enough about. Rooms not cheap but think this was just general for the city. I was hoping to do a couple of tours from the hotel but this facility wasn't offered and proved to be very expensive to do externally. The people on reception's English wasn't brilliant but they tried hard to understand and were very helpful. Location was only a couple of streets from central bus depot area where you can 'commute' to Suriname at a price. Not a bad stay and flexible enough when I had to stay an extra unexpected day.

Not a bad hotel.

Just what his name says the hotel is located in the central part of the city. All the sights are very close to.The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff at the reception are very friendly and helpful (especially Cristian and Adrian). I highly recommend this hotel.
